You got it. It all starts in the trenches. We've invested here and there but not nearly enough. No depth really on either side and watching what happened when Strief exited the game showed up quick.

I'm not as ready to give up on the season as many of you appear to be. We faced one of the top defenses in the NFL and lost in their home stadium on an opening Monday night. The last I heard there were 16 games in the NFL season. Has something changed?

I'm going to be here (meaning where ever I am physically) each and every week expecting my Saints to win just as I have for the past 50 years. That's much more enjoyable than the alternatives. I'm disappointed when they lose, but I refuse to not enjoy when they are playing.

:bng:

P.S. The wife and myself are heading to Vegas for a few days so don't think I'm hiding out since we lost. I'll either be in the casinos or at a show. Losing doesn't affect me. Having to read through volumes of negative posts does, however. Life is far too short not to make the most out of it and enjoy.

I understand your optimism and actually quite respect it, however (it may be my own doing) but I feel completely let down after the strong showing in preseason.

If we start 0-4 again, something has to be done about Payton, and I dont mean give him another extension.

And to think Jim Schwartz was available when they inked DA as DC.

Ok so I'm hearing a rumor about the Sterling Moore/De'Vante Harris situation last night. On the Vikings first offensive play of the game we only had 10 men on the field and it was Sterling Moore who was supposed to be in there but had a brain fart I guess. Payton benched him the rest of the game.

I understand and respect your optimism and agree Minny has one of the top defenses and realize it was going to be a hard game for anyone to win going against them in their new stadium.
But do you really HAVE to sift through pages and pages of negative posts? Wouldn't it be easier to just ignore them and move along?
