Josh Rosen

Some were starting to anoint Josh Rosen as the future of the Saints at QB. Well, they got beat today by a Memphis team that is 50th in total defense and not even ranked in the top 50 in offense. Rosen had 4 TD's and 2 INT's.

Texas A&M should've beat UCLA but beat themselves instead. Should've been a couple more INT's from Rosen in this one.

They beat Hawaii by 33 and Hawaii's defense is ranked 41st in the country.

UCLA had the 19th ranked offense in the country. Rosen has already attempted 140 passes in just 3 games. If you throw that many times you get a lot of yards and more TD's than most.

I'm not trying to cut him down. I'm just saying he's human right now and I will still wait to give him my vote until it's real game time and I mean USC!

More than one player on a team Cheramie. Not a huge fan of any college QB this early in the season, but the Heisman and the W-L record is about the last thing to use when looking for possibly a successful QB heading to the pros.

Not saying it's not a team, like the headline said their margin for error is very small. Most of their games will end this way. Like I said not cutting him down just pointing out the obvious.

At least 2 balls in the A&M game should've been intercepted and would've stopped TD drives so let's not anoint him yet and unless we're willing to give up everything for the first pick then all of this discussion is mute anyway.

Re: Josh Rosen

He's highly touted because he can make all the NFL throws. He has the accuracy and arm strength to make any throw you need him to. His decision making can be coached up. You can't coach his intangibles.

Re: Josh Rosen

He does not get overly excited when I think of how he fits in the SP system.

Luke Falk, QB, Washington State 6032 214 4.87 #4 rSr
He looks to be the best fit. Great IQ and route progression

Mason Rudolph, QB Oklahoma State 6036 235 4.77 #2 Sr
The most experienced QB in the draft and hard to ignore. He is my ghost QB in the draft. David Carr was my last QB ghost I could not shake. I might have him knocking around my head through the draft. Great IQ and route progression also

Josh Rosen QB UCLA 6032 220 4.97 #3 Jr
I really wish he would stay in school but a first round hype is hard to ignore. He has the talent but going through his progression and pocket presence worries me and why I might have him as a QB that will get rushed into starting way too quickly. Can he handle it mentally? He might be a cali mellow kid IMO

Whoever our next QB is, in today's NFL he has to be able to move like Rodgers, Luck, and Wilson to extend plays...especially behind by our current line.

True enough. the saints bench has shown itself to be full of question marks and the need for possible major upgrades at multi positions. .

Re: Josh Rosen

I was making some observations. He's scares me a little and I guess that's because a lot of highly touted QB's end up busts and he does have some decision issues. The 1st game he threw into coverage twice and good coverage and his receiver just happened to make a catch between the hands of the defender. He had no interceptions against A&M but 2 against Memphis which cost them the game and no I'm not saying it's all on his back but the Interceptions in my opinion belong to the QB no matter what happens. He has the opportunity to eat the ball or throw a stupid pass. Brees has done it into the end zone a few times and we all know how much that hurts.
