O-Line Rankings: Pass Blocking Efficiency (Guess where the Saints ended up!)

Quote:

4. New Orleans Saints

PFF Elite pass blocking efficiency: 84.9

The Saints offensive line has allowed three sacks, nine hits and 18 hurries on Drew Brees and have done so without particularly good grades along their starting unit thanks to Brees having the third-quickest average time to throw in the league through four games.

That line with any other QB...I don't know.

Injuries killed it, so it's hard to complain much, but I still think our line, as it has been, was overrated, mostly because Drew is so savvy in the pocket, but Peat and Ram and we're building it right if you ask me.

A lot of screens and short passes making them look good

Brees has been stepping up in the pocket a lot less too. In the Vikings game he would shuffle back 10 yards or so at first.

Put Brees behind the Seahawk O line and he'd be in a wheel chair. Or many other lines in the league. Yes, he gets rid of quickly, but he also creates lanes and time with his savvy

True enough and, given the injuries, we've been good enough up front - there's definitely worse.

O-Linemen should be the hightest paid players in the NFL. If it wasn't for them, what would we have.

Tampa is tough along the O-line too. Get well Armstead. We will need you to give Drew the time to win games for us.

Yeah, but Rugs, Armstead impact and Ramczyk on the right will be seen in the longer runs/gashes...
