Good read. This draft has the potential to be the best Saints draft of all time.

Now I wish the saints would match him up with a true modern day SS so he can become all he can be. I chuckled as he fell down the media boards and prayed that the rest of the NFL would believe the same thing. He ain't flashy, like Bell was coming out of college. But unlike Bell he is a safer bet to get the job done at a high level for many years in the NFL.

SS has been my #1 bugaboo for years now. :deadhorse2: Heck been talking about this since before Harper left. A true modern day SS is still a huge need and will have a huge impact on our young secondary! A SS that excels out side the box? wow what a novel idea in the pass happy NFL grrrr

Let Kenny walk?

Saints question Kenny Vaccaro 6000 214 4.63 @ 4 year, $22M range?
for one of the best #3 S/LB in the NFL but he is very limited in coverage

Replacement

Morgan Burnett SS/FS/CB/LB Packers 6013 209 4.51 Green Bay 4yr $32M range?
Hard pressed to find a better versatile Vet than Morgan at SS. Talk about the perfect player coach. Is Josh Jones the future in GB? Can the FO pull another rabbit out of their hat?

Bell draft day trade bait?
So far he is a Kenny Clone, which I never saw coming. But it is still early in his career. years 2

Draft Ronnie Harrison SS/OLB Alabama 6011 214 4.54 #15 Jr
Harrison is an immediate plug and start prospect.

Want A true modern day 3 safety look
Morgan Burnett Marcus Williams and Ronnie Harrison
Tackling, coverage, turnovers and mentoring

For the love of God, enough already!
Stop handicapping yet another FS and match him up with a modern day SS to get all we can out of him.

Anyways, it looks like the Williams draft crow is safe in the freezer :p for now

Great selection by the Saints. Our drafts are producing results and this draft looks stellar.

Ronnie Harrison will be gone when we pick at #11.

I would love to have him though.

Wait... he wasn't his own man? What does that mean?

He won't be there at #32 and we will all forget about trading our 2nd pick for RB too.

Williams is still making rookie mistakes - see Golden Tate TD/YD after catch...

But he's also threatened on several plays which has kept opposing QBs holding the ball just that much longer...

I seriously doubt we'll try to trade up that far from #32.

For the most part I thought the secondary coverage was good. We must clean up the tackling by Sunday. Nelson, Cobb and Devante' Adams are good to above average receivers. Marcus will get better every week.

Keep grinding.
