Howard rumors

It appears there is some movement on the Charles Woodson front and he could be traded soon after all. A free agent who the Raiders used the Franchise tag on, Oakland is looking to move their star corner and the two teams that appear to be most interested are Kansas City, if they can't complete a deal for Patrick Surtain, and New Orleans, who would likely deal another unhappy Franshised player in Darren Howard. With the action heating up don't be surprised if Charles Woodson has a new home by the end of draft weekend.

I don\'t know if it\'s the same article, but it says the Raiders may balk on Howard due to the fact that he wants to go to Dallas, and may ask for more money in a contract if he was traded to Oakland. The sub story to that which is not listed is the damn Postons are Woodson\'s agents. We do not want to deal with those asses.

Also, I dont know if I like the fact of two high maintenance corners in the same secondary. Might not be enough room back there for both McKenzie and Woodson\'s egos. Dont get me wrong, I love McKenzie and wouldnt mind Woodson for the right price. But i can only imagine the antics that could follow with both of them in the same secondary.

they both have big egos, but to play corner in the NFL I think you have to. Look PRIME TIME. No matter if he was in Dallas, Atl or wherever the guy could play. And talk about Mr ego. I just want guys who try to make plays, and I think Woodson will try to make plays and not just hit someone after the catch.

Dang it....all I know is that I want C-Wood to stay in this avatar, unless I\'m replacing it with DJ\'s, C-squared\'s, or A-Mac\'s(already have nicknames for them).

I think when we are on the clock, people will get nervous and minds will change. I\'m confident that KC will lose interest and sign Surtain, who I would rather have more than Woodson. More wishful thinking than anything else, but it\'s no different from hoping that Sully actually makes a couple of tackles this year.

LOL..I like the avatar. I like Woodson. And i agree that corners must have a certain savvy to them to last in the nfl(ala Fred Smoot). And indeed Deion was the greatest IMO but he is on a pedastal above both Mckenzie and woodson. i would love to have woodson here given the right price but i would fear the possbility of those kinds of egos in the secondary together. also, as Whodi noted, i dont want to have to deal with the postons on top of the future cap trouble we could potentially be in.

If Antoine Winfield and Fred Smoot can get along....

If Patrick Surtain and Sam Madison got along....

you already have mike possibly holding out over a new contract. we get woodson and every year we have one or the other holding out for more money. would like it but not sure we can afford it
