The Saints\' starting left tackle Kyle Turley, who is entering the final season of his rookie contract, has rejected another long-term contract extension from the team. Despite admitted \"issues\" with the fiery offensive lineman, the team has still been pursuing an extension for Turley.

Turley has always been a very aggressive player on the field but earned national notoriety for a brawl and helmet-tossing incident on an ESPN Sunday night game against the Jets in 2001. Turley was sent to anger management sessions and fined, and then had an inconsistent 2002 season starting for the first time in his NFL career at left tackle.

The latest offer from the team was believed to include an $8.5 million signing bonus, according to the Times-Picayune.

There has been speculation that Turley would be traded from the Saints for the right offer, which is believed to be at least a third-round draft selection.

what are they smoking?!?!
