It was Dan Patrick asking Ed Worder and Sal Palantonio what they thought about the possibility of us trading Howard. Worder seemed to know a whole lot more about the subject (covering the Cowboys and all), and he brought up the facts that we're a bit overstocked at DE, but that we won't give Howard away and will keep him if the right deal isn't offered.

Palantonio, reporting from Philly, said that it's definetly a possibility that the Eagles are interested in adding Howard as a guy to line up across from Jevon Kearse, but that was about it for his contribution.

Worder also mentioned that the Cowboys are certainly interested, but they're likely to try and make us sweat on draft day in hopes of forcing us into giving him away, and that the latest offer from the Cowboys is said to be #11 for Howard and #16. He also said that the big reason we're trying to trade him is for cap relief because we've "quietly" begun renegotiations with Deuce, McKenzie, and Bentley, and that the Horn deal is verrry close to being done. The team believes that doing all those deals will leave us between $4-$6 million dollars under the cap.

Overall, not a whole lot that we don't already know, but it was nice to hear them talk about us, even if Dan Patrick repeatedly referred to us as "the Cap-Strapped Saints."
