We're going to have to keep banging away with the run and not abandon it as we did in the second half of the Week 1 loss...

Carolina took a chance with the "let old man Brees beat us" strategy.

Backfired.

we used to blow teams out that tried this pre 2013. I still think we need a young speedster next year but Ginn played great and the defense has blown my mind this year with all the injuries. I hate to even say this but I'm pulling for Atl and hoping we beat the Vikings. I'm still mad at Atlanta because of the way the refs screwed us the first time we played them and what would be sweater than beating them to go to the Superbowl!

If you consider yourself a good defense, you should not have to sell out against the run. Selling out is a bad idea if you are playing a team with any kind of passing game.

I guess the Saints were just the worst kind of matchup for the Panthers this year. I might not be watching anymore, but I still enjoy knowing that Cam is eliminated.

Don't know that their strategy completely backfired as the Saints got comfortable, pull back on Brees and passing game...

Carolina must have watched film on that Week 14 loss to Atlanta - same script, damned if lightning didn't strike twice - Brees choked...

We're fortunate to escape with a win after giving Carolina another chance - that schitte won't get it moving forward...

I'd like to think I'd like our defense's matchup better this time with Minnesota with the rookies now seasoned, Crawley all in place...

But we're going to need a minimum of 24 points and Brees has got to cease this recent trend at the end of games...

The one mistake Payton and playcalling made was they allowed the Panthers make the Saints one dimensional...

Play-action only works if the threat is there to run; even if we only get 3 RuYds per Att, keep them honest...

McDaniel, Trey, Hill, Feeney, Bell, Coleman (minus the muff) all stepped up yesterday. A good factor as to why the Saints are advancing.
