I would like his veteran presence, but I\'m not sure about the kind of money he\'d expect. Probably too much considering we are trying to get rid of Howard because of monetary reasons.

Chad Brown released, Good Fit??

Welcome!

one of the team\'s most popular players, a fan favorite and locker room leader.
For that reason YES.

Brown has made only 13 starts over the past two seasons, missing the second half of 2003 after surgery on his right foot. He missed three games last year after arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.
That says NO ( and he\'s turning 35 )

He\'s been a hardworking guy, a warrior on the field. But as you know, there\'s more to it than that.\"
That says it ALL.

For the Veteran leadership qualities It would be something to consider, but not until after the draft. After the draft if our LB position has not changed, Take a look at his market value and if he could be added for a better salary then it should be considered. He is a 3 time former pro bowler.

Considering his age and health, I would save my money and wait for another LB to be cut loose.

With the understanding that if the price is right I would like to see it.
We brought in Brian Cox a few years ago in a similar situation. The understanding was that he would provide an intense veteran presence and no one really expected much on the field.
I loved him being here. He was a vocal vet leader and when he was on the field it was great. He brought great intensity to special teams units. His passion for playing was obvious and I believe contagious.
Unfortunately those weren\'t the most talented or well coached teams but he was fun to watch. Much better than watching that a-hole Ditka grabbing his crotch at us fans.
I guess the point of this disjointed post is that Brown could bring something to the table for us.

p.s. Would have loved to have seen B. Cox stay on with us a a coach in some capacity.

I'm no one.
Who are you?
