Well since the average lifespan of an NFL player is about 4 or 5 years, and you normally get 1 1st rounder per year, I\'d say they were on par with most NFL teams.

I wonder how many teams have more than 6 1st rounders on their roster?

McKenzie was a third rounder in 1999 out of Memphis and so was Dwight Smith in 2001 (84th overall out of Akron)
I\'m not too sure about Gandy.

Gandy was the 15th pick in 94. I think during the Super Bowl, the Pats only had one first rounder starting. the Saints are assembling a team of the best players ever at various positions, is why I\'m so bitter.
