McKenzie attended workouts?

From Pete Prisco article:

There is a lot of speculation that the Saints want a corner in the first round. But the reality is the team is happy with their corner duo Mike McKenzie and Fakhir Brown. They both played well late last season when the Saints played more man coverage in their four-game winning streak. McKenzie recently joined the team's offseason workouts after missing time for contract reasons. Brown came on strong last season after taking over as a starter and is a rising player in the league. They also have Jason Craft to play the nickel position. But if one of the top three corners fell to the Saints, they could go in that direction.
Glad to see he has got his head on right. I knew it was just some posturing and no big deal.

Thats a good thing because with his possible contract holdout, I think it adds a corner to our list of big needs. We could use a corner regardless but maybe later on to add depth IMO but if McKenzie gives us trouble then we might need to add one early to put some pressure on him.

LOL, I just went back to see who so convincingly posted that this was a standard Rosenhaus maneuver and it really was nothing to worry about. For me that was the end of the story. And surprise, surprise, saintswhodi, it was actually you who pointed out that it was just posturing.
Almost pasted your quote in here too, before I checked who started the thread.

Very good news indeed. I was hoping it was just rosenhaus doing his boras impersonation. Imagina an agent that actually cared about the game. I guess that would be a bad agent. I wish masta p would just handle all the contracts.

We\'ve got enough needs without losing Mike. He really seemed to make the whole D better last year.

nice call whodi.

Well, I had seen him do it before, and again with other players this year, so I knew it was no big deal. Agents are ruining the league. But it was his annual, hey, my game left his last team cause of his contract, don\'t forget us move. McKenzie will get his and he knows it. They can take a look at the cap situation here and see we can\'t do it now. But far be it from Rosenhaus to ever let you think anything was all rosey and happy. lol

The sad part is that an agent\'s desired end result is mo money for the client/mo money for himself. That has nothing to do with team or cap room. Each man is an island and it\'s how much treasure can be put on the island in 5-10 years.

The really good argument is that they only have a few years to make their living. Forget the fact that they make more in a year than most of us will make in a lifetime. Athletes just live in a different world and the agents pump their heads up even more because that\'s how they make their dough.

Absolutely. Why settle for a percentage of 5 mil when you can get a percentage of 8? Greed. That\'s where agents are taking the league. Now while Rosenhaus is no anger, he is not as bad as the Postons. If those guys starting getting their way, watch the hell out. They are satan spawns disguised as agents. Teams avoid players cause of them. Hell Joe Gibbs said he took Sean Taylor over Kellen Winslow because of them. That\'s when you know things have gone too far.
