However, like most quarterback prospects, the idea of playing with Drew Brees is appealing to Mayfield.

"I would love that," Mayfield said at the EA Sports Bowl at the Armory in Minneapolis on Thursday night. "To be able to learn under him for however long he plays, I'd love that (and) to get a chance to be in New Orleans, a good franchise.

"I love Sean Payton. I love what they're about, so that would be a great spot for me."

It just goes to show how far this franchise has come since the days of Ditka and them. Top prospects and FAs used to look at the Saints almost like the Browns today...

So would a lot of QB's. We are too close to hoisting the Lombardi to invest any draft picks or capitol when Drew is still going to the Pro bowl seemingly every year. We should address needs and wants along the same way we acquired players last year bringing in players like Okafor, Teo and Kline.

Then go BPA early in the draft with our first few draft picks and then stock up on developmental players. Jeff Ireland has had a serious impact on our scouting and drafting the right players who fit the schemes that the Saints run on both offense and defense. It also looks like we actually have the coaches who can develop rookies and have them well prepared to play in their first year.

We don't have any gaping holes to fill on the team this year. What we will be doing is tweaking the team and adding in a few new weapons who will hopefully contribute. We probably won't be as successful in this years draft as we did last year. We were dealt a good poker hand and wound up with a royal flush. However, I still believe that we will have another good draft if we follow the same format this off season.

His attitude and behavior makes him the bizarro Drew Brees. Not sure I want that.

I would not put it past SP to do something crazy on draft day with our future drafts.
