Skittles are great and all but i think Mcpherson would be a great pick.

Brown is going to help right away and hopefully give Brooks more time to focus on which direction to throw (hopefully in front of him :casstet: )

And if he can create holes for deuce, yay!

With Mcpherson around this should really push Brooks to become a real QB

I keep hearing over and over about different QB\'s we could draft or sign and then this line keeps popping up, \" he could really push AB.\"
I\'m flabbergasted by this line, what, in the history of this team under Haslett makes anyone think anybody could push AB??!! That would only be true if there was the slightest chance that he could be replaced for poor play, stupid decisions or injury. Can anyone give me an example of stupid decisions, poor play or injury from AB? Now, can anyone show me when we replaced him in a real game for that? You can have a blue chip, all-american backing up AB but it means exactly zero if the coach in unwilling to use him. We might as well put another OL in the back-up spot.

In the past, I\'d have agreed w/ you. But, with Haslett\'s arse on the line this year, I think Brooks puts up a few terrible games in a row, and he\'s yanked. But it won\'t happen if he has to go to Todd Bouman, guaruntee you that.

A few seasons ago he publically came out and talked about benching Brooks if the poor play continued, Brooks responded with a good game.

If Haslett would pull the trigger I would agree whole-heartedly, but that seems a stretch given the years of futility. And the example of ONE game he THREATENED to pull him and he played good as compared to the countless times of not pulling him is a little unbalanced. Now, having said that, I believe if Haslett and company are definitely on their way out after another fruitless year, picking up McPherson to actually get a shot under another staff could be a great idea.
