We now have a top notch offensive lineman. We're able to plug Mayberry in at RG. We have Bentley at center, Holland at LG, and may be able to move a surging Stinchcomb to LT. Not too shabby an O-line. Package that in with a rested Deuce, Horn coming back to mentor Stallworth and Henderson. I think it's not too much to ask to see at least marginally better numbers from AB than the ones that he put up last year, no???? I say this is put up or shut up.

I suppose ur talking about int\'s being that was all that was a negative last year. I\'d say most of that was him trying to make something happen. He usually does put up good #\'s, I beleive he had the best TD to Int ratio up untill last year. Anyways i agree the new o-line should help. I think this is more proff of a commitment to the power running game. Thus, this should help AB. (play action bombs to the WR\'s)
(kinda like 02 i think it was)

I\'m sure the O will be fine. I think the last question is at TE. Baring injury and drops, AB should revert to his form of a couple years ago. I\'ll be really disappointed and checking the FA wire, if he dosen\'t end up rating at least an 85. I saw a snippet saying that by all accounts, AB has shown a commitment to the game this offseason.

I\'d really like him to break out, and have a strong season. I think people are just tired of his inconsistency, and incredible blunders. Other than that, he\'s a better than average QB. With him, I never know who is gonna show up. That\'s the real problem.

Stay safe over there, GT.

I was gonna go down this road as well, but then I re-thought it. AB has had plenty of \"make or break\" time and he is broken. There is no more \"this is your last chance\", in my opinion. I will predict right now that we will see the same from AB this year - terribly inaccurate passes, bad decisions, three-step-drops that turn into seven-steps for no reason, scrambling INTO the blitz, unable to check down, mystery fumbles, red-zone turnovers, etc.

I also predict when this year is over, that even with the O-line upgrades, we will hear from some here how it was someone else\'s fault that AB played badly this upcoming year.

That\'s my prediction.

Yeah well, the problem is that \"plays badly\" means anything to a lot of people. He could win a playoff game, rate a 96 with 28 TDs and 10 picks. I\'ll wager that the same people will bring up his fumbles, and still want him gone. If not the fumbles, then it\'ll be something else.

I really wanted him traded to AZ last season, and said so. I\'ll dig up that post later. I want to watch him in the playoffs while, we\'re business as usual

Oh boy...I loves me an AB debate!!!

OK, here is the deal with everybody listening? He has a few tools that make him a good candidate to play the position of QB. Arm strength is possibly his strongest suit. His height is appropriate. He has quick feet and escapability, however, sometimes he uses that to his disadvantage. His accuracy is spurratic, I think he is more accurate when he is unhurried, as most QB\'s are.

Here are the things AB has shown to be deficient at. He does not read defenses well, thusly, rarely checks out of one play to another that would have a better chance at succeeding against the defense that he is facing. He is inconsistent. IMO, he piles up numbers during his wins, but usually struggles against more formidable opponents. He has brain cramps, causing ill-advised decisions or attempts. Lastly, he does not handle criticism well, and makes comments that tend to alienate his teammates, coaches, and fans.

Now, I have been in both camps rergarding this guy. When he first came on the scene, I was singing his praises. As time has gone on, I have started to realize that what you see now is what you are always going to get.

I realize that he does some of the important things that a QB needs to be able to do well, but it is the things that he doesn\'t do well that keep jumping up and kicking us in the rear. I would love to see this year turn in to being the year for AB. However, if it isn\'t, it has to be the last. There are lots of young QB\'s out there that have strong arms and quick feet. Fact is, there are some out there that have those tools and understand reading defenses and putting your offense in a better position to succeed. I think that this is the type of guy a lot of us will be ready to see if AB doesn\'t put it all together this year.

That\'s odd. Seems to me, that some of AB\'s finest games have been against formidable opponents. I\'ve seen the O in such a funk, that it didn\'t matter if he hit WRs in the chest. Also, we were lucky to have a series without a false start or play called back.

The TP said that he read Ds better than Jake, so I guess it just depends on what you\'re looking for.

As for not handling critism well, do you mean being booed at a Voodoo game while with his family? Fans hollerin he sucks while on the street? Did he get smart when you tried to show him how to be a complete QB? I saw him comment that some players aren\'t professional in their preparation for games, like a leader should do.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean. It comes with everything else. It is part of being a celebrity. Do you think it would be any different anywhere else if the team is not winning. You have to be able to handle that sort of thing if you want to be in the spotlight. Whining about it, or calling the fans out is not the professional way to do it. I could go on, but I won\'t. :D
