Need to take a TE in round 1.

The next Gronk isn't in this draft. DL or LB should be addressed in the 1st. You can find a TE later.

The comments I gather from reading a Bears football site is that Meredith runs good routes, solid hands and has speed to separate.

Assuming he's completely healthy by training camp, there is potential for Cameron to become the solid #2 WR. The ability is there.

He was already slated by the Bears' management to be their #1 receiver for 2017 before he got injured near the end of 2016.

Merideth was interviewed today on NFL Radio and he said he was confident that he would be ready to go. He also said he is looking forward to going to San Diego for the annual workout that Brees holds for the receivers so he can get to know his new teammates. Even if he isn't practicing fully here during the break, being able to learn from Brees and the others will be valuable.

I agree with Guido. A chance to work with Drew, Michael Thomas and anyone else who shows up is invaluable.

Tonight, Sean Fazende was on Inside New Orleans Sports hosted by Eric Asher which airs Live Thursday Nights at 18:00...

Fazende told Asher the Fox 8 sports guys in watching the film on Meredith kept looking at each other and saying Marques Colston...

And how Sean Payton must already be drawing up, dusting off plays with Meredith out of the slot on seam routes, post corners if the safety jumps...

Fazende said if the medicals check out and the new docs get it right, this will be the "Best Free Agency signing for the Saints in 2018."

He also mentioned that Cameron Meredith is headed out to San Diego to work out with Drew...

We now have a No. 1 and potentially a 1A wide receiver and Fazende wished opposing cornerbacks Good Luck in covering them...

Only think I'm concerned about is if Meredith will have divided targets with Ginn, Snead, and Coleman.

Coleman is likely done...

Snead's tender is still on the table and he has until April 20th to sign or receive a better offer than the tender for the Saints to either match or decline the option...

I would love to retain Willie Snead IV so he can bounce back this season with a stat line of something like 60 Rec/750 ReYd/6 ReTd...

Then if there were problems with Meredith's health or team-fit, we'd have a better feel for Snead long-term...

And if Meredith is every bit the success we're all hoping for, then Snead would have return value next off season...

The depth also allow us to use, expose Ginn more in the punt return game without as big a risk in the passing offense...

Potentially we have a receiving corps of Thomas, Meredith, Snead, Ginn, and best choice of futures contract, draft pick, UDFA...

There hasn’t been a good receiver that Brees’ didn’t make look great. Based upon Meredith’s limits stats, the potential appears to be there. If he has the needed material between his ears to grasp the Saint’s offense and get on the same page with Brees’....this offense is going to be something to behold. I wouldn’t want to game plan to try and stop Thomas, Ginn and Meredith, especially with Ingram and Kamara on the field as well.
