I think he was owed 16 million is it? He hasn't been producing like the 16 million dollar man, that's for sure.

He’d make a good #2...but he’d come here and think he’s a #1. His impact in the red zone would be wonderful because he goes up and attacks the ball at the highest point.

When Dez was 25 he was elite & healthy. Now 29 and banged up ... simply not the same player. Good but no longer a true #1 WR.

Some of the folks up here in DeathStar nation are on suicide watch.

He's be a monster in the red zone, but you're also right IMO about his thinking he's #1. I doubt we could afford him anyway.

bad business... look at wr's who've changed teams: Landry, Watkins, Robinson, Pryor, Richardson.
Why make this move now?

trade them Coleman for a 6th

If he had remained his cap hit would have been $16M ($12M base, $4M signing bonus). Since he was released the Cowboys are in for only $8M (2018 $4M signing bonus and 2018 $4M signing bonus). They can designate him as a post June 1st release and take a $4M hit this season and the next. In other words, they are saving money given his lack of production.

Dez will not be a post June 1st cut. 8M is available for draft trades.

The Cowboys have released Dez Bryant after the receiver's meeting with Jerry Jones, according to a source. A source said Bryant was not offered a pay cut, while another source added that Bryant will not be designated a post-June 1 cut. The Cowboys will… https://t.co/WHJrHdguPh
