Re: Draft breakdown: Despite strength at the position, Saints selecting an offensive lineman early in draft could pay off

I've been pounding the table for an offensive lineman in the first round this whole off season. We lost Kelemete, Strief and some developmental player. Armstead is not able to stay healthy and someone will get meaningful snaps. We didn't think we needed another lineman last year when we took Ramczyk until Strief went down and Kelemete still played 60% of the snaps. Someone is going to get meaningful snaps and I want it to be a first round player where it's hard to miss on O-lineman. I think the O-line has the highest success rate for players drafted in the first round.iirc

Edit: Unger had an injury history before he came here and has been a rock for us but how long can we count on him? He did miss last preseason with a foot injury and he's 32.

Oh yeah........Peat broke his leg last year and may come back soft like he came in his first year. He's a tough guy now but did he stay in shape?
