Not aware of any excessive use of Sudafed in the NFL. Former Chiefs player Vince Redd back in 2009 is one and the only other is Colts Arthur Jones who implied that "too much cough syrup" could cause the failed test in August of 2016.

There is often a misunderstanding that because there is random drug testing that its ONLY random drug testing. The Leagues drug testing policy has a clause for “Reasonable cause” that allows them to request a non random sample any time and pretty much for any reason.

If someone submits a statement to an Independant Administrator sayingtheybthey saw player-x visiting a well known PED distributing physician, the league can test that player at their deacretion.

That makes sense. But that doesn't apply to Ingram's situation.
