Irregardless and despite several of the personnel gaffes of DIS/Loomis, and blown opportunties, I wlll emphatically agree on this point -

...this squad is in a great position to make a strong run late into the playoffs this year because of the 2017 draft haul...

We finally got it right. Loomis is a bean counter with no football background. As you said he is a yes man to Payton and his gambling tendencies.

Bringing in Jeff Ireland changed everything. He is the real football GM now(title not with standing), and most importantly our new scouting department and fresh coaching has set the platform for a stable franchise.

I will say that VB needs to really take his game to another level in 2018. Lots of room for improvement ... especially considering where he was drafted.
