Actually, thought this was a pretty decent signing; liked Luke McCown, especially after his performance at Carolina when Brees had rare sick day...

For those who have the ability to go back and watch his games - do it...

There's a lot to like about Savage when you factor in having Payton, Carmichael, and Lombardi to coach, clean things up...

I LIKE SAVAGE!!! I was impressed with his moxey when I saw him play. I'm pulling for him to win the back up job holding the clip board.

Houston had a terrible offensive line. Perhaps he’ll do better behind ours. He has the arm talent. He just need to pay attention to the way Brees climbs the pocket and diagnoses defense pre and post snap. Easier said than done, but he’s the most skilled back up we’ve had in years. Far more gifted than McCown or Daniels...and I liked McCown.

So far, Hill seems like more of a playmaker, but Savage has been steady; Savage was signed less than 5 mos ago, with maybe a two weeks of practice...
