I have no need, or desire, to pull against ether player. Once again, faulty thinking on your part. Meredith was signed as a free agent to be the starting slot receiver and that's exactly what he was in his first game.

Yes, three games in, but only one game for Meredith and that catch produced a crucial TD. I have little doubt we'll be seeing more of the same for the remainder of the season.

I didn't make make bets for or against Saints players. I want them all to do well. You have an agenda and why you keep bringing it up. I said he would not be the WR2 when we signed him and would not emerge as it in training camp or start of the season. That is what I said and I was correct. That is exactly what happened. Ginn is still the #2. Actually #3 in terms of catches. CM is in a 3 way tie for 4th place.

I didn't make a bet against any Saints player, either. Where are you getting off saying that? And what's this with the #2 WR stuff? I'm not saying that he'll be the #2 WR nor is that what the bet I have with The Dude implying. He said Meredith wouldn't start eight games (due to injury or whatever). I said he would. And what is your obsession with a bet between two other forum members. As I said, it not really any of your business.

That said, as of right now I'd say that Meredith is the #1 slot receiver. As I expected from the day he was signed.

Oh he ALWAYS has an agenda. Don’t think for a second all this Rah Rah Rah 16-0 stuff is real. He cares more about how people respond to him than he does about the team. If Meridith was that much of a difference maker they would have targeted him more than once.

Meredith has already produced more TD's than Willie Snead did from the slot all of last season. And you know as well as I do that targets from Brees can, and will, vary tremendously from game to game ... other than his true "go to" players (Graham, Colston, and now Thomas and Kamara).

And I call total bull**** about my not caring about this team. I am over the top fanatical about my Saints. If I care one iota about how people respond to me I wouldn't piss you off so much. It's quite the opposite. I really don't care how any of you respond to me. It's all about my Saints, Baby!

So you are willing to go on the record and state by the end of the season CM will have more catches than either Tre'Quan or Carr? I'm not willing to do that and was not when we signed him, injury or no injury. Right now I am still correct in my assumption. Nobody would emerge as the clear best WR out of that group.

I watched CM the whole "good" season with the Bears. Every single game. What I saw was a horrible team, decimated with injury at WR. They threw him out there and were often playing with no shot of winning the game. That is what I watched. I watched him loosely covered most of the time because it did not matter. One of his TDs was a hail mary that bounced off someone's head and landed in his hands with him standing there. That is what I watched. And look what is happening now. Peyton said it's not injury. His routes and timing are off. Now all of a sudden he got it. No way. Not after Carr and Smith have been there the whole time.

I'm going on record as saying that Cameron Meredith will spend the majority of the season as a regular part of the offense and most likely the primary slot receiver. That's all I ever said and was the basis for my bet.

As for your "expert" scouting report on Meredith, I really don't care. Did it ever occur to you that you may not be anywhere near as accomplished at NFL talent evaluation as you might imagine?

The Saints front office didn't pay $5 million to have a bench warming #5 WR as you claim.

Talk about pulling against Saints players. Regardless of what you think your narrative against Meredith is clear as day.

They did pay that much for a bench warmer. It only took a turn yesterday. Before that, they absolutely were paying 5 mil for a bench warmer. Doesn't even matter. If he emerges next week with 2 catches great. If he gets 0 and Tre'Quan gets two that is also great. Does not matter to me. For you though that is not good. You are on your way to losing financially.

$20 bucks. Big deal. But I will win. You want the same bet? You say that Meredith will not be a regular part of the Saints offense for seven of the remaining games? I'll take your money too. It'll give you another reason to pull against a Saints player of which you obviously have an irrational negative opinion.
