I don't give a **** if they pick up Brett Favre. We have a legit starter on the bench. Give us a 1 or forget it. There is nobody else out there worth a crap.

If we get a 1 for someone that never played take it. We just stole a first round pick. Probably a high one. Top 10.
Their season is probably done anyway.
McKinnon is out, their receivers have been inconsistent, and they just aren't that good on either side of the ball.
No way they catch LA, and a WC is a long, long shot

I guess it’s too early for the 49ers to completely throw in the towel on the season. Maybe try to trade for Tyrod Taylor now that Mayfield is the man in Cleveland. That way you’d still look like you’re trying to piece something together even though you know you won’t win with Tyrod.

Yeah this won’t happen. 49ers were not a great team before and a qb won’t change that. No way they will give a #1 for a one year loan. Well I say that but the saints blew their wad on Rickey Williams.

I would not be so sure. Crazy trades happened before the deadline. We have a legit QB and a legit RB. Both just collecting dust. If we lose Brees we are done anyway so why not. MI, great to have but we are getting it done without him and he will not be here next year.

Rather not part with either but if some stupid trade is on the table DO IT. Take the picks and reload. We don't need either one to win right now and our picks is where we make money.

Scheme is put in place to mask liabilities. It's up to Dennis Allen on figuring it out.

Lots to clean up on the back end. We don't defeat Cleveland last week if not for the Marcus Williams INT. He's fine.
This...and I'll take things a step further....the strong safety play has been horrendous so Williams is not as free to utilize his skill set. Like you said, it's up to Allen to put the players in the best position to succeed.

I'm starting to miss Vaccaro...Coleman is just collecting a check and Bell looks lost most of the time when he is on the field.
jnormand and Rell&Gold like this.

Remember J Byrd was a ball hawking fool in Buffalo, then comes to NO and does much to nothing or to an extent Malcolm Jenkins couldn't seem to get any picks in our defense, then goes to the Eagles and gets a lot? Now add Kenny (who I thought was too inconsistent here) Vaccaro who is playing good ball up in Tennessee.

At some point, we are going to have to start blaming the defensive scheme for safeties not being able to have any impact in the passing dept.

Re: Saints to trade Bridgewater to 49ers?

Why would a non-contending, building team give away their most crucial asset, a likely high pick, that they need to get where they want to be?

Also, if we're to believe the Saints are contenders, why trade away your insurance policy for a 39yo QB that is now, reluctantly, rushing for TDs?

I'm not a Bridgewater fan, but the team is vested with this guy for this season and it's too early to give up on this season...
