The Saints were missing a significant player during practice.

At least during the portion open to the media.

Running back Alvin Kamara was not spotted during Thursday’s session. It is not immediately clear what led to the absence. He was not listed on Wednesday’s practice report.

However, it should be noted that wide receiver Michael Thomas was not spotted on Wednesday but ultimately ended up being listed as limited. The official injury report will not come out until later this afternoon.

Defensive lineman Mitchell Loewen was present on Thursday. Defensive end Marcus Davenport (toe) was not spotted.

Sounds like the Saints offense will get a heavy dose of Mark Ingram - sure wish Boston Scott could get called up to the active squad as I'd love for us to be the ones springing a spry rookie on somebody...

Likely fine. Mild flu, stomach issue look like. Those seldom sideline anyone and it surfaced mid week.

Rams at Saints

CB Sam Shields (illness) is listed as questionable and makes up the entire Rams injury report.

The Saints also have a one-man injury report. Unfortunately for them, DE Marcus Davenport (toe) has been ruled out.
