Re: Question about Ingram

I think Kamara would be just fine if he had to carry the load. Things worked out well for Jamaal Charles and Kamara is built just like him. I do love Ingram and if the price is right, we should keep him.

Re: Question about Ingram

I think Sean likes the one-two punch for running backs. He wants RBs that are fresh into the fourth so I think subbing will continue. Now will Ingram be resigned? Depends on the FA marketplace and how desperate another team is; if the Saints can get him for a reasonable price I think he'll stay.

Re: Question about Ingram

You also have to be smart and take into account what he brings into the locker room...

He's like Kamara's older brother.

Re: Question about Ingram

I said his run would not start until week 10. Well, week 10 is this week. They will need to run the ball to slow down that bengals O.

Re: Question about Ingram

Payton is often kind of a little slow and cautious in working players back into the rotation, after they've been away from the team for a while. Same thing whether it's coming back from an injury or a suspension. He just works them back into the game plan a little slower, than some people would like to see. People said the same things about Deuce when Duece would come back from an injury or his suspension -- "what's wrong, why isn't Payton giving Deuce the ball more?" etc. etc.

Re: Question about Ingram

Ingram looks a lot more human this year. He's doesn't look even a little angry anymore! I hope he gets back into form soon. This seems to happen to a lot of players coming back from suspension.

Re: Question about Ingram

Ingram does everything well. He is a hard runner who fights for extra yardage. He blocks exceptionally. He is underrated as a receiver out of the backfield. I like how, if necessary, we could get by with either him or Kamara as the sole back if we had to. In today's game it's almost always RB-by committee, so having multiple backs who can fill the full role is necessary.
I'd rather see us keep him than look elsewhere as he has great chemistry with Kamara and the team. Of course given the price works in our plans. I don't see us fully replacing him with other options and would regret letting him move on.
