Question about Ingram

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Will the Saints use Ingram more that he has been in a couple games after his suspension? Since he will be an UFA next year, are the Saints experimenting with Kimara to see how he handles the load in preparation ...

Question about Ingram

Will the Saints use Ingram more that he has been in a couple games after his suspension?

Since he will be an UFA next year, are the Saints experimenting with Kimara to see how he handles the load in preparation for potential life without Ingram in 2019?

Re: Question about Ingram

I see it as riding the hot hand and trying to keep both of them as fresh as possible during the season... I don’t believe anything we have done this season is preparing for the future; except maybe the trade for Bridgewater

Re: Question about Ingram

Ingram isn't the same back he was last year. Could be lots of reasons. My opinion is he just needs reps.

Re: Question about Ingram

I think Mark has performed pretty well, being that the last 4 games since he's been back have been against strong run-stopping defenses (Skins, Ravens, Vikes, & Rams). Even Kamara's production between the tackles in the last 4 games have been hard fought yards.

MI has a lot of value protecting Drew too. He's an easy target for fans I guess, but I personally hope we resign him after the season.

Re: Question about Ingram

MI is doing fine... He will pay off big late in the season.

But... As for keeping him next year, I'm not sure, depends on the contract.

Absolutely re-sign him...as long as the price is right!

Re: Question about Ingram

Wouldn't resign him. He is great at pass blocking. That is something he excels at. He is great change of pace, don't want kamara as a featured back with all us else he does out of the passing game. Still wouldn't resign him. I kept thinking how he hasn't done much of anything this season in 4 ganes. Looked it up 50 for 181 yards. That's pedestrian. We really need to spend 5 million a year for that, really? We can't draft someone to provide that?

If we had any draft picks, yes probably we could

Re: Question about Ingram

Ingram will get resigned for all of the reasons listed and none of the stats....

Is Kamara better because of Ingram changing the pace? Possibly until proven other wise.

With Kamara playing so well does Ingram's YPC matter a whole lot? Id rather Drew protected all year and Ingram gaining an additional 1 YPC...

No one here is arguing that our OL didnt do a fine job against the Rams, Ingrams blocking was part of that.

Our offense has reached that 2009 point where we can win whether Drew throws 200 or 500 yards and that's a sweet m0th3rfu7in place to be.

The whole of our offense right now is greater than the sum of its parts.
