NFL releases playoff schedule
 

The NFL released the schedule for next weekend.

The playoffs start with a Texas doubleheader.

Houston hosts the winner of the Colts/Titans game at 4:35 p.m. ET on Saturday followed by the Seahawks at Cowboys at 8:15 p.m. ET. ESPN has the AFC game and FOX the NFC game Saturday.

On Sunday, the Ravens will host the Chargers at 1:05 p.m. ET followed by the Eagles at the Bears at 4:40 p.m. ET. CBS has the AFC game and NBC the NFC game Sunday.

The schedule for the divisional-round games also was released:

On Saturday, Jan. 12, the Chiefs will host the 4:35 p.m. ET game with the Rams beginning at 8:15 p.m. ET game.

On Sunday, Jan. 13, the Patriots host the 1:05 p.m. ET game with the Saints kicking off at 4:40 p.m. ET.

The New Orleans Saints will not know their next opponent for another week, but they do know when they will play.

The NFL released the dates, times and broadcast networks for the first two rounds of the NFL playoffs. The Saints will face the lowest remaining NFC seed Sunday, Jan. 13, at 3:40 p.m., and Fox will carry the broadcast.

New Orleans faces Philadelphia, Seattle or Dallas in the divisional round, depending on the outcomes of Wildcard weekend.

I do not like any of the remaining teams.

1. Eagles - catching fire with Foles back and you better believe they will want revenge from that game we ran up the score on them earlier this year.

2. Bear - that D is scary. I think they are the sleepers on the NFC, and to be honest, I think they will be NFC team in the Super Bowl.

3. Cowboys - well we already know how they match up with us and it ain’t pretty.

4. Seahawks - beast mode. No sir, they have taken us out of the playoffs plenty.

All these teams , except foles and rams, have crazy good defenses. I don’t think we get past them. My feeling is we will be one and done this year. Rams will also be one and done. Cowboys will beat Seattle and bears will beat philly. Cowboys will beat us and bears will beat rams. Bears will beat cowboys. Let the flaming commence!!

You're entitled to your opinion. Here's mine.

Only ONE "crazy defense" stopped us this year - Dallas. And it was on the road. And we were without Ginn. And we still had a chance to win. My point is this - Don't Doubt Drew, especially at home.


1. Eagles - If Foles is healthy, they'll score points but their defense won't contain us in the Dome.

2. Bears - their defense is scary - I agree. But their secondary is susceptible to deep passes. If we can contain Mitch he'll make mistakes on the road where he is average at best.

3. Cowboys - I'll give a slight edge for home field. If the officiating crew is calling holds in the secondary we'll have a field day.

4. Seahawks - Poor offensive line play will sink their run game.

Only team beating the Saints will be the Saints. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen.

No way in hell the Cowboys are going to beat us at home. The only team that half way worries me are the Rams and we will beat that ass too. We are in the Dome Baby!!!!
