in an effort to generate some life back into this message board and to change up some of the topics, i would like to hear who u guys think will be the best player in the draft NOT DRAFTED BY THE SAINTS thats right, the best player, not drafted by the saints. also, who do u guys think will be the steal of the draft, that diamond in the rough, the 4th or 5th round pick who will be a superstar!!??!!

Best player drafted that won\'t be drafted by the Saints, eh? My vote goes to two people, and both are wide receivers: Charles Rogers and Andre Johnson. I think these guys are going to make excellent pros. They are the future stars at the receiver position, as long as they are put into an offense that fits their skills.

As far as steals of the draft? I\'m not sure is this guy is even going to be drafted, but i wouldn\'t count out RB Joe Smith from Louisiana Tech University. I had the opportunity to watch this guy perform several times. He\'s a big, strong back with good speed and has excellent hands. He rushed for over 1,200 yards in his senior year last season in a \"pass more, run less\" offense. He would be a perfect fit for any team running the West Coast offense because of his catching ability alone. Then again, with his combination of strength and speed, I believe he could fit into any offensive scheme. Look out for this guy. He could be something to see in the future.

I think Leftwich could very well end up being the best player to come out this year. I like Rogers too, but I just see it in Leftwich. He plays with heart and he\'s got the skills. Five or ten years from now I think he could be THE player from this draft class.

I don\'t know about the steal of the draft. There\'s something I\'ll have to think about.
