True, thought of that as well. A lot of is also the "Anyone but New England" bandwagon jumpers who will root for anyone that posses a threat to the Patriots.

My wife and her family are from the mid-west and they have a few family members in Missouri who talk to her on Facebook. NONE of them were rooting for the Rams. Her extended cousins whom lived in the St. Louis area are still bitter about being robbed their tax money when the city made the mistake of bringing those losers into their town and paying for that stadium.

If you have tapes of the 2009 season, go back to the Rams game. There were more Saints fans that day in their stadium than Rams fans. That team struggled even filling up their stadium in St. Louis in the last several years. Even with a SB on their resume and the GSOT, they don't have many fans out there who show up for games. They exist on the internet and that seems to be it.

I was just in KC for a few days earlier this week. Everybody I spoke with agreed that we were totally screwed. They were all hoping for a KC/NO Super Bowl. That would have been a much better game than the swill the NFL actually served up.

For all the yapping their fans did on the internet, they sure as hell didn't show up for the Super Bowl. Brady at the podium said the crowd was so good, it felt like a home game back in Foxboro.

Stadium was near full after saw it

I wanted Patriots/Saints. Most of our fans hate the Pats, but we have some kind of bond with them as fans. They are the only other team and fan base in the NFL that hates Goodell and posses a threat to him. I also feel like we kinda owe them something for coming back down 28-3 and beating Atlanta in the SB.

I don't agree with the notion that KC got screwed by the refs. They got away with a lot of blatant pass interference in the 4th quarter and in OT. KC was one of the most penalized teams in the league all year, but in the playoffs, the refs "let them play" most the time. There was one play with an obvious facemask in OT that Romo even pointed out. Despite this, New England still marched down the field and scored on that pathetic defense.

If I were a Chiefs fan, I'd be angry at Dee Ford's bone headed off sides deal. But seriously, that team needs a defense before they get to the SB. Mahomes went 1-5 in big games this year. They can beat Andrew Luck in big games and that's it (LOL the Chiefs almost screwed that game up too. It would've been a 7 point game in the 4th quarter if Adam V makes his extra point and the other field goal. They were begging to lose that game). Their defense was ranked 31st in the league and the Pats carved them up that night.

Pathetic.

Rams went "all out" in Free Agency (SUH, TALIB, PETERS, FLOWERS) in hopes of hoisting a Lombardi but failed. As 76' pointed out in another related post, good luck fielding another deep run with that salary cap situation looming. Difficult decisions ahead for them.

I don't believe this team will win 10 games next season.

Yet the NFL insists it needs 2 teams in LA.

Yes. Count the camera man, the police in two police cars . Not quite accurate, but ok, let’s give it to Rams and you have 3x3= 9.
Can we count the bus drivers to add more people? ok. That is the 3x3 = 9

Let’s give them a 9.

Truly sad.

They aren't winning 10 games next year, I agree 100%

Everything went their way in the NFC West -

The Cards were far and away the worst team in the league.

The 49ers were still a dumpster fire and pretty much tanked the year after Jimmy G went down.

The Seahawks, despite being a good team last year are still coached by Sneaky Pete who handed them a win in Seattle. I am shocked no one criticized Carroll for that boneheaded timeout on 4th down where the Rams were going to punt and Russell Wilson would've had a chance to win the game. Instead, he calls a time out, McVay goes for it, the Rams run the clock out.

Most of their schedule was easy too. The NFC conference in 2018 turned out to not be all that great as people expected it to be. Outside of the Saints who were the rightful #1 seed, every other team in the NFC had major flaws and some of them never lived up to expectations (The Rams spanked Green Bay and Minnesota while Atlanta and Carolina fizzled out). The Rams beat the overrated teams of the AFC; the Chargers and Chiefs. They didn't have to face Baltimore's defense or the Patriots in the regular season.

Next year, Seattle may be able to make a run and give them trouble for the NFC West crown and the 49ers are a toss up mystery.

They've had zero o-line injuries in the past two years. They won't get that lucky next year (this is big for having a quarterback who can't do anything under pressure).

McVay and Goff were completely exposed in the SB. Remember what happened to Cam Newton after his awful SB performance, he hasn't done anything note-worthy since. Teams started locking a spy on Newton like Denver did in that game. Goff has been exposed as being clueless and unable to read defenses. Teams are going to look back at the Bears and Pats defensive strategies and completely confuse him and it's been exposed how bad he is when blitzed.

The Rams defense was really disappointing despite having Wade Phillips at DC and all their star power. I respect Phillips and his father Bum from back in the day, but I think people give Wade too much credit for the 2015 Broncos defense. He did not build that defense.

About the Broncos where Wade has been praised for the past 4 years - Von Miller was drafted in 2011 and that team had a lot of chemistry and years of experience built up under Fox and Del Rio who spent the previous seasons building that defense and signing players. Demarcus Ware was in his 2nd year with Denver when they won that SB (Ware was a key player in 2014 and 2015). That Broncos team was not built overnight and they had a lot of growing pains before becoming a dominant unit (the Rahim Moore blown coverage in 2012, getting destroyed in 2013, etc). There were signs back in 2014 that they could be a great unit going into 2015 and they completely exceeded those expectations by becoming a historic unit.

IMO I don't think the Rams defense really had much chemistry together with all their star power. Donald, Suh and Flowers SHOULD be good run stoppers, but they ranked 31st in the league against the run.

Their secondary was trash too. Talib is past his prime and I have never understood the hype around Marcus Peters who is easily the worst big name CB in the league. The Chiefs defense is so bad and yet they were happy to get rid of Peters.

IMO I think their defense is going to struggle next year and their offense is in for a rude awakening now that teams know how to expose Goff. McVay basically coaches him like he is playing Madden. He tells him what changes to make at the LOS and where to throw the ball. When Goff don't have that, he don't know what to do.

Re: Say what you want about the Rams but they sure know how to greet them at airport

One more thing about the Rams - Their fans have been bashing Michael Thomas for a while now and talking about how stupid the Saints were for trading Brandin Cooks away cause apparently he's the next Jerry Rice or something.

I wonder what they think of Cooks now after that dropped TD in the Super Bowl (I give him a pass for the first drop earlier in the game cause Goff waited too long on that pass). Michael Thomas would've made that catch and not dropped it.

I don't miss Cooks. I know a lot of Pats fans and none of them miss him either after that trick forth down play in the SB where he stupidly ran directly to the one guy who could tackle him and tried to leap over him when he could've just avoided the guy and got the first down. We'll never know, but I'd guess that Bill B wanted to trade him away just for that dumb move.

Rams fans are in for a rude awakening with Cooks next year when they realize he's a soft WR and can be shut down by physical CB play. We knew this back in 2015 and 2016. It was put on full display again in this year's Super Bowl with McCourty abusing him all night.
