We should all go play extras in that movie!

I work on a lot of movie sets. I’m going to have to bid on this job.

I don't want to see it. Want that memory as far from me as humanly possible.

I'd love watching it if it demonizes the NFL and Goodell.

My guess thought is that it would be more of a documentary chronicling the way the city responded following the rape.

Do we trust Hollywood to make a movie critical of a Los Angeles team? How do we know it won't be a movie about how the call was correct, or it was offensive pass interference and helmet to helmet by the receiver if you play the tape backward, and now the poor refs from LA cannot go parasailing without worrying about being attacked by swamp people?

They were never going to call PI in that situation. This has always bothered me about the playoffs. They call the game much different. The "let them play" in the playoffs approach is stupid and created this mess. Call the game the same and go with random refs. Tagging the best ones means the game will be called much different than the regular season. It's horse****.

The idea is to "let them play" in the playoffs.

The only team I have ever seen get favorable calls and go their way a lot of times in the playoffs is the Packers. Go back to that "run the table" year - look at the wildcard game against the Giants. 4 missed calls early set the stage for a blowout. Green Bay gets away with holding more than any other team I have ever seen, and one of those missed calls was a bad PI call that took points off the board for the Giants. That could've dramatically altered the course of that game, where GB couldn't do nothing in the first quarter and the Giants defense was manhandling Rodgers.

The favorable calls continued for Green Bay when they traveled to Dallas for the divisional playoff game. Dallas got an offensive penalty that had not been called since the 1980's. Late in the game, Rodgers threw an INT deep in Cowboys territory that was called back, leading to them scoring and taking the lead.... One week later, Green Bay got blown the hell out and looked like they had zero business at all being in the NFCCG. Refs couldn't bail them out in Atlanta, who exposed them for the frauds they were.

If Green Bay didn't have the anointed golden boy Aaron Rodgers, they wouldn't have got the favorable calls IMO.

They are the only team I've ever seen get calls go their way in the playoffs for recent years. People talk about the Patriots, but there was a lot of non-calls that nearly doomed them vs the Chiefs in this year's AFCCG.

Re: WWL Radio: Truth stranger than fiction: Movie in the works on NOLA No-call

At this point, I'm getting really tired of talking about the non-call...

Every time I think back to that game, I just think more and more that we gave it away.... The game should've never been that close. Up 13-0 and then didn't score again for the first half while we were kicking their asses. They needed a fake punt just to spark momentum, THAT is a testament to how well we were dominating them. Once we got up 20-10, we let them claw their way back and tie the game, when it could've been put out reach (I keep remembering Brees missing Ginn wide open that could've been a TD).

What did we even do after going up 20-10? That miracle bomb to Ginn is the last note-worthy play I remember, and that was almost intercepted and was a miracle.

We had them at the edge of a cliff and simply couldn't push them down all the way. That game really reminded me of the December match against Pittsburgh. We blew a 10 point lead in that game and needed the defense to pull miracles to bail us out while the offense did nothing for most of the second half. Despite our defense getting all those stops and a turnover, we still just barely won that game even though we were dominating them early in the game.

I really hope the defense gets better next year. They were the difference maker at the end of the year and they almost bailed us out in that game... They were just tired from being on the field so long in the second half when we kept punting.
