Looking at the depth and competition for wide receiver most folks seem to forget about Simmie Cobbs. He was brought here for a reason after we raided someone else's practice squad toward the end of the season and someone else trained him for us for free.iirc I like what I've seen from his film and apparently he has a very good skill set.
There is a reason Payton waited until after the draft to bring in a wide receiver. There are a lot of unknowns in the wide receiver room. Unknown to most fans....but not the front office and coaches. Humphreys has a good chance to crack the Saints roster as a role player but he better take to the whoopin' stick and learn to perfectly run the routes that Drew likes. What was a weakness last year could easily become a strength this year with last years rookies having a year in the system.

Oh, it's definitely on at WR this year - but the kicking game will be the component that decides who gets a roster spot and who's watching the Saints win a SuperBowl...

I know level of competition has to be factored in, but RB Darnell Holland is electric. I don’t know how he’ll transition from playing in a triple-option offense at Kennesaw State but when the ball is in his hands he’s so dynamic.

I see Gardner pushing for the NCB spot. We have a potential out on Robinson in 2020, 2 YR, $10,100,000; $2,500,000 DEAD CAP

With Drew's window now definitely narrowed, I'd rather not tempt fate, keep that depth, stay loaded; look how thin things got last season when Robinson went down.

While it was a rare, great trade for Eli Apple (a fmr first round pick for a 4th), it was a costly gamble that was a toss-up, but it paid off...

His hands are fantastic. Really impressive. Not much speed but let’s see if he can find ways to get open with his route running.
