It's a good thing. We have a couple of decent younger backups and it frees up a nice chunk of change. Go get one or use that coin to improve the D. He was good but he wasn't getting any better. We practically stole him for what we gave up.

May have to hold the cash if he decides to come back after training camp like a few other vets do

I think he is done. Centers can play for a while. We had that guy from the 85 bears that played in his mid 30's but Unger wants out. They probably knew months ago.

That foot probably never fully healed and he’s tired of living on pain killers.

If the love of the games gone why hang on in there for more punishment than necessary. Yeah another 20ml in the banks nice but if your brains to muddled to remember your kids names what's the point

Making me think ;agree with all above . It’s still a punishing game that is life changing in any direction money memory and injury
