As was prev stated Euph, you will NEVER win this argument by looking at stats in a vacuum. EVER. Case in point, let's say running back A runs for 120 yards and running back B has 3. If we looked at stats in the vacuum, most would say RB A was the stud. But when you expand the stats, RB A was Edge James week 1 verses NE where he had two red zone fumbles, and running back B was Jerome Bettis who had 3 Tds on 3 yards(or possibly less). Once you step out the vacuum, who would you rather have had? Numerous folks have tried to explain to you current QBs are in a completely different era then QBs even 10 years ago, cause the league wants stats and TDs to explode. Archie played in the era of some of the greatest defenses of our time, and on the worst team of the era top to bottom. You may see a dominant defense here and there in today's NFL, but nothing like the ones of the 60s and 70s. And heart can't be measured, but you can open your eyes and see up to this point, Brooks has not had it, to go with intelligence, football smarts, and leadership qualities. You can throw out stats all day, but the best argument against that was already given as well. Give me Brady and 3 rings over Peyton and TD records any day of the week. It's all about winning. So until you can step out the "look at his stats box" and come with something more significant than that, you will not change anyone's mind in this discussion.

You can have Brady all you want, Ugh... your missing my point... I am not comparing Brooks to other NFL QB's even though Brooks ranks amoung the top 10 in stats... What I am doing is compaing Brooks with other "Saints" QB's. SO what you are saying is we have to scrap all the Saints records for passing rushing ect because non of them matter... records exsist. You can compare Brooks with past QB's in Saints history one simple way of doing it is in Mannings career with the saints how he faired in his time and how Brooks fair in his time. There were great defenses then and they are great defenses now. yeah yeah yeah we can aruge the point until we are blue in the face that the center was different even you can't compare them. Well then you can't Compare Brooks with other Qb's of today with that theory... Brooks doesn't get to play against the Saints defense. But you get to face all teams over a period of time... With your theroy you have just agreeed with me that Brooks is the all-time best QB in Saints history due to the fact that he won a play-off game... so there you go.
I am merely saying based on top ten finishes he is tied for first with Manning.

Here is something for you non believers to think about. Who can answer this? Comes from NFL official site.
2. Which team had the most combined yardage production from their "Big Three" (quarterback, running back and top receiver)?
A) Seattle (Matt Hasselbeck, Shaun Alexander, Darrell Jackson)
B) New England (Tom Brady, Corey Dillon, David Givens)
C) Carolina (Jake Delhomme, Nick Goings, Muhsin Muhammad)
D) New Orleans (Aaron Brooks, Deuce McAllister, Joe Horn)

brooks is on average very average. well or maybe above average. if u compare his numbers he is our best qb ever. that is possible without argument. then u would have to look at some of the plays he has made. some of them have been less then bright. brooks has the ability to be really great in this league. will he ever amount to that i dont know. i hope brooks becomes everything this year he has the ability to be. he could be special. then again he could just be the same ol brooks he always is

Then chow down. A) was in the playoffs, B) won the Superbowl C) was on a team decimated by injury, and Goings did not start until what, week 10?
