We have a lot of transplants around here. Let this post stick around and you'll find out.

OK, here's what you do.

1. Pack everything you own into your car, or rented truck.
2. Take I-85 south from Newnan 121 miles to I-65.
3. Merge onto I-65 south. Take that 171 miles to I-10.
4. Take I-10 West 136 miles to the exit labeled "Super Dome."
5. Park the truck, buy a ticket, watch the game in the Dome.
6. Find a place to stay.
7. Unpack and never return to Atlanta. :)

Great answer... that's what I would prefer but I'm stuck here for now. There used be a place called Mama Mae's that Bobby Hebert was somehow involved in but I think they closed. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks fellas!!!

You should just try your nearest sportsbar. Bars usually have the sports package so that probably would be your best bet if you want to watch it with a crowd. If not just get the NFL Sunday package or wait til the Saints play the Falcons :P

i'm a sunday ticket fan, however, i'm thinking about dropping it cause they made so mahy bone headed decisions last year. the favorite was the backwards pass to wayne gandy. brilliant. ALTHOUGH, i have decided that since the saints made some good personnel moves and may be able to stop the run, one more year may do it... much like crack indeed.

Try Sidelines or Sidelines II, I go there because it's really the only one that I feel comfortable taking my family to. II is better than one-imo. These are located in Kennesaw, off of the Chastain exit, #268,I believe, and there should be others elsewhere.

I'm in Alpharetta and I've got the ticket. I used to have about 5 or 6 fellow saints fans up here and we had a blast getting together and watching the games. (We're all Mississippi boys and they all scattered back out of town.) Now I watch the games by myself with my wife and scare the hell out of my dog.

I see a surprising amount of Saints stuff up here...there must be alot of us around. When the season starts, I'll be more than happy to get together somewhere to watch a game with you guys. Just fire this thread back up in August and we'll make it happen.

And Mama Mae's is pretty nice, but I've never watched a Saints game there. Every time I hit up a random sports bar, I see Saints fans. Hey....we're the best in the league....the most loyal, the most passionate. Conversely, the Falcons fans are fairweather, bandwagon-jumping d0uchebags.

Let's get together, drink some Abita, scream at the TV and have some fun :) Just tell me when and where. Always happy to meet fellow Saints fans.

I've carried the Sunday Ticket for the last 3 years. I got tired of the spotty coverage that local Sports Bars have on the Saints. My DirecTV bill for the upcoming season should be in soon.

If price is no object, then your best bet is the ESPNZone in Buckhead.

But I finally figured out that getting all the Sunday games was a better deal than driving to Buckhead (or anywhere else) and paying $10 for a plate of wings and a beer.

Mama Mae's was the schizznit for Saints games in ATL. I've seen quite a few in there. It was awesome - place had lots of room, great food (gumbo, aligator, etc), good prices, good beer selections, televisions all over the place, and panties hanging from the ceiling. We used to get a crew of about 20 or 25 for that, and we loved it. Everyone was a Saints fan in there.

But.... Mama Mae's closed. They've been gone about 2 years now, I think.

ESPNzone isn't great for Saints games. It's -so- crowded, you have to wait for a table (if you get one), it's pricey, and you'll end up watching your game on a little wrist-watch-sized TV from about 25 yards away. You'll be drowned out by all the other fans from other teams, but at least you get your own soundbox on your table. Not the best, IMO.

There are a LOT of Saints fans in ATL. I know, because I used to hang out with a crew of them when I lived there. But before I moved back to New Orleans, and after Mama Mae's closed, we started watching the games at each other's houses. With HDTV, it just seemed to make more sense.

-- PS --
I know there are still a few Saints fans that go to Laseters Tavern in Vinings. They reserve one of the TV's for the game each Sunday in the gameroom. Not a big crew, usually only a couple of people, but that's the only regular one that I still know of. It's done by a guy named Steve and his wife Connie (who's originally from Houma). Laseter's is a good bar, so I thought I'd mention it. No plasma's though - just standard TV.
