I have dozens of other redeeming values ...

, but I spent two years as the photo editor of the NCSU student paper, The Technician, and had the privilege of covering all of the ACC sports, as well as covering news, music and just general crap. Even did a bit of sports writing during my time there. Also did work for the ACC Sports Magazine back in the late 70's, early 80's.

Lived close to Clemson University for 9 years (Got there the same year Tommy Bowden did). Saw the rise of Phillip Rivers, Matty Ice, Megatron and Matthew Stafford just to name a few. I know Russell Wilson was at NC State but don't remember hearing much of him till he went to the big 10

Coaching & Tom O'Brien.

According to Wilson (stated this at a Wisconsin graduation a few years back) , NC State HC O'Brien told him he would not start at his program or get the opportunity to play QB. He also told him he'd never play in the NFL.

Once Wilson hit the campus of Wisconsin, the rest as they say is history.
