When was the year we beat Tampa Bay mostly on defense and special teams? I think it was 2004.

Trailing 17-7 into the 4th quarter, Beer Man had a punt or kick off return for a TD, then the defense got a few turnovers leading to a Brooks TD pass and a 21-17 lead.

I hated those Bucs teams so much. They were supposed to be some dynasty with a historic defense and Gruden was supposedly some offensive genius, yet we had a good track record against them. We would shut them down and humiliate his QBs. We swept them in 2002 and had other memorable wins against them. Gruden was at the right place, at the right time with a great defensive unit that was peaking and then they crashed and burned after 2002, much like the recent Broncos team that won the SB.

One thing Colts fans are correct on about Tony Dungy is that his special teams were usually the weak point on those Colts teams, as well as his Tampa teams. This got worse for Tampa under Gruden.

Gruden: Wouldn't know a good QB if he were standing next to him. He'll never let you forget that he once coached "Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrreetttttttttt Favrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
