I hear ya' jp. He's taking different chances than he has in the past. However, we know that he's a gambler and he did have a plea deal in place.....

The judge didn't just "throw out" the plea deal. The deal that was agreed upon by both parties was for one year of probation. The sitting judge ignored the deal and applied a six month jail sentence, instead. Marbrough must not have even read the article that Rod Walker posted.

The grounds for Granderson's challenge have not been made public. Some court documents in the case were filed under seal, and defense attorney Megan Overman Goetz told the newspaper she couldn't comment.
