Sounds like a ST/lower end of the depth chart signing. He is pretty athletic so it might be all right.

Anthony saw most of his time on special teams while with the Dolphins. Current Saints special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi held the same job in Miami while Anthony was with the team

So that pieces together the puzzle of the reunion:

1) Elliss was injured Sunday. He played on ST.
2) Anthony was ST in Miami for current Saints ST coordinator.
3) Anthony plays ST and maybe tries again to learn how to play LB.

Probably help with special teams...or send him in on some blitz packages. He had the talent but never grasped the mental part...too bad because he balled his first season simply on talent alone.

SA rarely saw special teams action in Miami. Don't hold your breath here.

I would have much preferred Nate Stupar when he was available.

Nolan did work with him in the off season while SA was still with NO, however he was still traded.

The fact that he’s been around and is willing to play special teams in spite of his draft status impresses me. Wish him the best.
