Peyton Manning takes 'Detailed' look at Drew Brees' impressive return

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was the latest to be dissected by fellow future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning in this week’s episode of Detail, exclusively on ESPN+.

And who better than Manning to illustrate how Brees’ mind was as sharp as ever in the Saints’ 31-9 victory over the Arizona Cardinals? Brees returned after missing five weeks because of thumb surgery.

In this sneak preview, Manning breaks down how Brees recognized a “pretty sophisticated blitz” that the Cardinals tried to disguise at the line of scrimmage by burning them with a 28-yard pass to receiver Michael Thomas.

It is great to have Drew back and the league has taken notice.

The other thing that Drew does so well that's often overlooked is the way he adjusts the protection at the line of scrimmage. He's a Master at it and that's one of the major reasons why he hardly ever gets sacked.

Wonder if Peyton takes a detailed look at the missing handshake from a long time ago in Miami.

I have no idea why fans stay angry over this.

There are rarely any handshakes after SBs anymore cause everything is organized to get the losing team off the field ASAP so the celebrations can begin. You can go back to several SBs in the past decade and see the losing team players rushing to the locker room.

Brees has said before that Peyton congratulated him after the game and personally texted him.

I think it's great Peyton is doing stuff in the media now and these videos are a joy to watch.

I'm sick and tried of Peyton Manning. Would he please just go the f--k away!

No. I actually miss Peyton.

Before he retired, it was a 50/50 chance the Pats would win the AFC outright. His Broncos are the last team to actually walk the walk and back up the talk by beating them twice in the post season. Since then, New England has won the AFC outright 3 consecutive years.

For all the people who hate the Pats and talk about how easy they got it over the AFC East, they tend to ignore that the entire AFC conference as a whole is a joke, and when Manning was around, he at least could beat New England.
