Dez Bryant says he’s two weeks away from trying out for the NFL

He’s also said before that he wants to make his first call to New Orleans, to see if the Saints still have room for him — explaining that he feels he owes them and coach Sean Payton for having given him a shot after the Cowboys released him last year. Whether that’s still the plan is unsure, but it looks like we’ll find out in about two weeks.

Give him a workout. Not like our WR corps couldn't use an upgrade.

Let's see how Smith does finally returning this week. We may be fine. Not to mention Cook coming back this week, as well.

Would it really hurt to bring Dez Bryant in for a workout though ??

If this guy can show more production (1 rec / 9 yards thus far) than Austin Carr, I'd sign him in a New York minute.

I'm not holding my breath on guys not named Michael Thomas & Alvin Kamara at catching the football in key moments.

Zero harm in a test drive.
Butttttttt, wouldn't it make sense to get him to the facility now and let the team aid in recovery? I know we don't have the best track record, but we did sign him before.

Dez isn't under contract and therefor has zero protection from our team doctors and our team has zero protection from him. There is possible liability in both directions and that's why no one will do that. He also isn't going to recover with a specific team to keep from narrowing his possible options if the Saints do not sign him.

A tryout is one thing, recovery and medical care is a whole different ball of wax.

The only reason he wants to come here is for a Superbowl.
