You're opinion to a dead thread was greatly appreciated... I'll make sure I write this down in a notebook, tape it on to a computer, and remind myself to care about what you think. Thanks, hopefully this will make me a better person.

Yeah....1 whole day since you and your buddy were bickering like little girls.....I really had to dig in the archives to find that one!

My other thought is, why did you bring up Jake? Seeing as how you are new here, or new to posting, it's interesting to note that you would bring up Jake in a thread about A-Mac. Hhhmmm...

I think you nailed it, Whodi. :D

Judging by that comment and yourself being compared to Billy, I'm not going to waste my time continuing with this flame thread. There would be absolutely no point in doing so. I already lost enough brain cells last night. Maybe one day I'll be on your level.

Who would I like to start?!?! Sully or Glover? Sully or Glover? Hmm :P

No, that's not my only argument. I've made that plainfully clear, I provided a entire days posting with at least 6-7 different reasons. First-off you guys keep repeating the samething about Probowls, there are many at least 6 NFL players every year that go to the Probowl that don't deserve to, not saying they're bad players, but that others were more deserving.
Name those 6 players who's been to 5 consecutive ProBowls like Glover please.

As even papazz pointed out Glover had numbers kind'a similar to the rest of the DT'S, a little less but kind'a similar. That's in every year since he was in NewOrleans, he's never had double digit sacks and at most 48 tackles a season since he left. That's very average almost piss-poor...I remember Roaf making the Probowl while he was a Saint I think his 3rd time after having a horrible year, missing a couple games.
http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/3507 La'Roi Glovers career stats. Be patient and compare with every link I provide for you.

http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/235242 Richard Seymour's career stats. Be warned, by opening this link as you should have last night, you'd realize Glover has outperformed Seymour.

http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/235246 Marcus Stroud's career stats. Once again... be prepared to be shocked. Wait you shouldn't be if you did the research.

http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/187398 Corey Simon's career stats. Opps I did it again!

http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/235221 Kris Jenkins career stats. Trust me I can go on and on and on and on and Glover's numbers will still be as good as or better than every DT out there.

Have these statistics earned him a right to be considered a top defensive tackle in this league yet? I mean if he wasn't as good as I'm advertising... wouldn't the coaches, players, and fans not vote him into the ProBowl? Hey you said statistics speaks volume to you... right? Let's not contradict ourselves now.

The Saints Haslett said at the time, they regretted letting Glover go. That was then, it wouldn't take much to get Glover from the Cowboys, so why hasn't anybody attempted? It's been known for the past 9-10 months Glover was headed to the bench, so why didn't someone attempt to get him for a draft pick?
Go back to page 2 or 3... one of them. Didn't you say the Saints ran him out of town? But now since WhoDat disproves your comment, you are back tracking? Glover lead Dallas' 2003 defense to #1 in the league... and he's still on the team making ProBowls every year. It doesn't appear to me he's been ran out of town. Do you have any inside info about no one attempting to get him for the past 9-10 months?

He's mediocre no matter how you guys say it, 5 Probowls off mediocre seasons "Wow"! It ain't like he had a double digit sack season like he had 2 years straight in NewOrleans. Again and hopefully this will sink in...When you have a dominant player, you scheme around him you don't change and put a dominant player on the bench. What part of this don't ya'll understand? Bill Parcells is not a stupid man, if Glover was all ya'll are trying to say he is, there would be no switch to a 3-4! Cause Glover would be to valuable to take off the field! WhoDat, papazz are whomever explain this.
Every stat out there proves that he is more than a mediocre player. Every stat out there disproves your argument. I'm going to trust you opened those links... does Stroud, Simon, Seymour, Jenkins, etc. even have double digit sacks season at all? Does Glover get to the quarterback more than these premier tackles? The obvious answer is yes. Like I've said about a hundred times already... his number are as good as or better than all of these players.

You say if you have a dominant player you shouldn't bench/cut them right... and build around them right? Simeon Rice was an dominant pass rusher yet Arizona let him go. T.O. was a dominant player and he was traded. Larry Allen is a dominant OL and he's been benched numerous times in his career as a Cowboy. Warren Sapp was an intricate part of TB's defense and they chose to go another route. Peter Boulware and Jamie Sharper were dominant players for Baltimore and both cut.

No one has called Bill Parcells stupid beside you telling me I did... weird but ok. Glover doesn't fit into their scheme. What's so hard to understand about that? They needed a big NT and Glover doesn't fit the bill... hence they signed Ferguson. They decided to go in a different direction. Bill Parcells for the past couple of years wanted to let Dat Nguyen go... does that mean he's not good? Of course not... he just has a preference for big linebackers. When Terry Glenn was a superstar in New England, Parcells had no problem letting him walk. Maybe it's not us that needs for all this information to sink into.

WOW I GET A COOKIE! I didn't say one bad word and didn't call him any names!!! WHOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Hey you only responded to my last paragraph... how about all the others?! I would love to hear your responses. I don't think I'll get one though... it's pretty rock solid.

http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/4151 Simeon Rice's career numbers. Yea that looks lackluster to me alright... I guess. (THAT'S SOME SICK NUMBERS I might add. )

T.O. is such a dominant player, why not dump Jeff Garcia instead and do EVERYTHING in your power to retain your superstar dominant WR and build a new team around him?

Larry Allen had weight issues... really? Yea I kind of knew that already. Blah blah Sapp, Sharper, Boulware... knew all that already.. The point I was making is ANYONE can be replaced no matter how "dominant" you are... including La`Roi Glover.

How is any of the things I've said lies? You haven't disproved a single fact that I've presented to you. Are you in denial? Everything looks pretty straight forward to me.

Take your little jab shots... it really shows your age. I made myself look like a fool by sinking down to that level last night... but what's done is done. I shouldn't let people such as yourself get under my skin... definately not worth it.

Hey buddy, if after everything I've shown you and you still believe Glover is "mediocre" player at best in the NFL, then power to you. I'm pretty sure in some remote Middle Eastern 3rd world country (that's replaying old Raider games when Glover appeared in 2 games as a rookie), someone will agree with you. I'm pretty sure you aren't alone on this.

And it's common knowlegde amongst the Saints fans, that the Saints wanted Dat Nguyen and tried like heck to get him included in the Howard trade. So again obviously i've proven you dead wrong again. Wooooooshhhhhhh! 8)

I don't get it... what did you just prove wrong? I'm completely baffled.

papz 08-03-2005 09:56 PM

Dent your facts? What facts? Trust it's not because it was needless for you to respond, you just can't respond to that. Re-read... that's a great idea. Please print out this conversation and let your parents read it. Wow.

Is anyone reading this stuff? Wow. Man... man... wow. My head feels so empty and light right now... I have nothing else to say. Goodnight... I feel so... dizzy reading these post of yours. Amazing... is this real? Am I dreaming that someone could be so... wow. You are WOW. You have completely stomped me... and I completely surrender to you.

You wanted me to call you uncle right? UNCLE BLACKONBLACK you truly amaze me. I give up.

papz 08-03-2005 10:22 PM

UNCLE! UNCLE! UNCLE! Please you are killing me here. I surrendered already! Stop the torture... if I get anymore light headed I'll faint. If by me calling you UNCLE will stop the hurt, I'll call you UNCLE every single time. Spare me please. UNCLE please stop!!!

Oh yea UNCLE, what's a little gender sibling that you called me anyways? Little sex brother? Nevermind don't answer... I'm pretty sure I'll faint for real. Goodnight UNCLE... I'll make sure I show my friends and co-workers this thread tomorrow to show them how bad you've demolished me. Bye bye off to the bowling alley!
