Zimmer's back ground is all defense and he knew Sean P tendencies. He did what most were afraid of ... taking away our biggest threat, limiting Michael Thomas & daring other WR's to beat you.

This was one of the worst WR rosters NOT NAMED MT I've seen under Sean Payton in a long time.
Ginn and SP cost Grayson an opportunity to shine this year.

I can’t believe we never tried something with Lil’Jordan Humphrey. A slant, a seam route where he could outmuscle a DB on a jump ball, a crossing route, anything...

I get not having trust yet or familiarity, but damn it man just try something.

Re: Payton's Play Calling

All I can say is Sean Payton has his "favorites" on offense ... for whatever reason that is.

But I agree XVI, the Saints desperately needed a spark. Whose to say Humphrey couldn't make a play if you throw it in his direction?

Ginn should have been benched weeks ago. SP is stubborn.

"Saints became the first-ever team to lose in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs after completing a regular season with 13 or more wins".

Frustrating.

Most definitely, I’ve been hoping for another QB for some time now. I think drew has gone down hill significantly and has proven there is no more deep ball left to be thrown. Some folks are finally coming to that conclusion as well. With all that said, there are many other reasons why we lost that game along with Drew, I focus on Drew because for years he gets a pass from everyone and that’s coming to an end.

I no longer have faith in Sean or Drew. How can a 13-3 season end so stunnigly to a 6th seed team.
What a waste of a season.

The larger issue to me was the lack of emotion from the team. It was the complacency. We did that after the bye week, when we played the Eagles last year, and again this year. How can you not get up for this game at home?

Ginn is still living on his name as a speedster and Brees does not have the arm. That's why Taysom was paired with Harris on that bomb.
Have to disagree on the Taysom statement. When Taysom is in the game, defenses think it's 98% chance of a run. That's why Taysom's pass worked which was slightly under thrown by the way.

Re: Payton's Play Calling

All of you calling for the end of Drew don't know what you're asking for.
OK, Drew made a bad decision on the INT and yes Sean is stubborn but these 2 gives us the best chance of winning right now. Yes Teddy was 5-0 but we also had a healthier defense that held Dallas to 10 pts and the Jags to 6 in that stretch. O-line was terrible Sunday. Yes we should have run the ball more and this is where Payton is stubborn, but everyone knew the Vikings secondary was hurting and could be exploited. Problem was the O-line didn't give Drew the time to do it. And the fumble by Drew was supposed to be a quick throw but the receiver missed the check down at the line and Drew couldn't get away from Hunter. Drew is still a top 5 QB in this league and has 2 more years left in the tank if you ask me. All of you calling for the end of Drew need to really think about who out there is better to replace him.
