Not everyone was laughing at you TGC. But I do remember him getting hammered by a few. But this was his year to put up or shut up. Now his critics are the ones shuttin up.

He's stepping up big time and I hope you laugh your ass off at the non-believers all year long, and them some. Its still early so he needs to keep it up all thru camp to make it impossible not to give him the slot.
See, I don't get this Danno. You're saying the light finally clicked and Talman is finally putting it all together to be the WR he's always been talented enough to be? Hhhmmm - why should the critics shut up? Your statement assumes that he wasn't playing up to potential in the past, does it not? Making his critics right...

I don't recall anyone saying that he didn't have talent or couldn't do it - only that his head wasn't in the right place and it was confusing as to why he wasn't playing better. But you're right about one thing - he has actually done enough to shut the critics up. He did what he needed to - he proved it on the field. Props to Talman for that. Now if we could only get AB to follow suit...

WhoDat, I'm not really following you. I didn't say the light finally clicked. I didn't say he should have been awesome his 1st or 2nd year. Where did you get that from? I've stated that some WR's (especially middle-round) need a couple years to develop. Well its his 3rd year. He had the potential to become a good WR from day one but it was going to take some time.
I've read people say he sucks and always will, can't catch and never will. Those are the critics I'm referring to. My statement mentions nothing about him not stepping up in the past or underachieving.
He needed to take the next natural step in his development, which he has, or appears to have. There are some who will assert that if a player doesn't play well his 1st year, he never will. Thats idiotic.

OK - well I agree that is a pretty dumb statement ("if a player doesn't play well his 1st year, he never will"), I just don't think that I've heard it all that much.
