How 2005 really ends....

With all this talk about how the 2005 season is going to end...
It got me thinking...Maybe something like this....

January 1st, 2006

Saints, 9-and-6 need a win to edge the Chicago Bears for the last Wild Card berth.
And lead Tampa Bay by 2 points, with a 2:15 to go.

The headline January 2nd....

HAKIM DROPS THE BALL!!!! AGAIN!!!!

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- With the Saints on the verge of their first post-season berth in 4 years, the one player linked to the only Saints play-off victory, did it again....

CUE JIM HENDERSON
"It is an incomplete pass. And that penalty against Kenyatta Walker, that five years looming big.
B/c had the Bucs not been able to pick up anything more from there, the Bucs would have been attempting about a 53 yard FG.
Now they won't even make that attempt.

Son, that is the logo of the greatest franchise in football history...
They were called the NEW ORLEANS SAINTS.

I mean, the team won only one play-off game in 38 years, and still people lived and died with them.
LOVED THEM.
So in 2005 I tattoed in on my arm after they left New Orleans and moved to LA.
Then went on to become the first and last team to win four straight Superbowls.
The team of the 10's, they call them."

Grandson looks up and says, "Granpy, what's football?"
