I\'ll say this. A - I wouldn\'t put it past him. B - He would be incredibly stupid to use them.

The US has a long-standing policy of never use \"weapons of mass destruction\" (i.e. Nukes - we don\'t use chemical or biological weapons at all) in a first-strike situation. However, if you\'re familiar at all with MAD (mutual assured destruction) you will know that the US\'s policy on retaliation is basically complete annihilation.

Saddam would be real dumb to use chemical or biological weapons b/c it basically give a cowboy playing President the ability to use nukes and be completely within the long-standing US policy.

NEWSFLASH: DIXIE CHICKS TO PERFORM TOMORROW NIGHT IN BAGHDAD!!! PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH IS HAVING THEM AIRLIFTED TO THE ARENA!!! LMAO.....In all seriousness now...did anyone hear about this? The lead singer of the Dixie Chicks made a statement during a concert in London, England....She said \"Just so you know, we are ashamed that our President is from Texas\" Is this girl insane? does she realize that she just made that bands careers sink faster than the Titanic? What a friggen coward to make a comment like that in a foreign country...especially one that is behind us 100%...if she had said something like that in Dallas, there would be a public flogging...I know in Bossier City they had a CD bashing where people brought in all their Dixie Chick CD\'s and had them run over...smashing them to bits...one military vet from Texas wrote on his two cd\'s \"Don\'t mess with Texas...and don\'t mess with the USA\"....Radio stations across the NATION have been yanked their songs from the airwaves harder than Pee Wee Herman yanked in that adult theater. I never was a fan of the Dixie Chicks to begin with, but this confirmed my opinion about them. I\'m sure that #1 country song in the nation won\'t be there much longer.

Enough about that....just let me state this...God bless our troops overseas for safety for the inevitable war that is about to commence. I have MANY friends over there as we speak. Most of them are in Kandahar, Afghanistan. As a matter of fact, it is my old company I was in when I was in the National Guard (527th Engineering Batallion; Ruston, LA) I hope they all make it back safely as well as the many other soldiers involved in protecting our freedom. Just do me a favor, boys! KICK SOME ASS WHILE YOU\'RE THERE!!!!!!!!

Aren\'t they a country group... Do you get more country that Texas? Dumbass.

I spoke with my uncle tonight (reserve (doctor not a fighting man)) and he said that after having spoken with a lot of his old buddies, he could only say that the Iraqis have no clue as to what is coming. For what he has heard, and who knows the validity behind this, it very well could all be rumors, but... from what he has heard the US plans to drop as much or more in terms of payload in the FIRST night of air strikes as we did in the ENTIRE previous Gulf War. Iraq just doesn\'t know what is coming.

I will say this. I feel bad for the Iraqi soldiers. Those guys are mostly draftees that are in a position that is basically unthinkable to me. Choice A - join the army of a dictator who has been killing your people for years and face the greatest military power in the world. Choice B - refuse to join the army and be killed by said dictator.

One other thing - don\'t be surprised if the US has a conflict with Syria at some point. By making the Syrians leave lebanon the US can assure that it\'s only true ally in the Middle East, Israel, has buffered borders on all sides. In fact, the US may use Iraqi or possibly even Syrian land (if a conflict does arise) to create a Palestinian state... hopefully that will stop some of the constant Israeli / Palestinian fighting... although who knows. Any new Palestinian state won\'t include the \"holy land\" so... In any case, don\'t be surprised if this is more than Iraq when all is said and done.

Chances are that Saddam will NOT use any bio or chem weapons. If he did, it would be verification for the US and the world that the inspections did not work and he was hiding them. Remember, he is not supposed to have ANYTHING of the sort and so far Blix and his inspectors have found nothing (or very little.)

The only way I see him using any would be because he was backed into a corner and really wanted to remain in power in Iraq realizing that, if he is ousted, the troops will find the weapons. Otherwise, he has probably already made an arrangment with another country to hide his weapons (as Israel suggests) and he\'ll flee to that country just before being captured. If that occurs, we\'ll definitely get a big \"We told you so\" from all the countries that are against us on this since there wont be any weapons to find. Of course, all of this is speculation...we\'ll just have to wait and see what happens.

God be with the troops in whatever their capacity and give them the strength to fight well, the power to fight honorably, and the tenacity to come home victorious.

It is the soldier, not the reporter who gave us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet who gave us freedom of speech. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag. - anonymous

Just my two cents....god speed to the men and women of the United States armed forces who afford me the freedoms I so take for granted.
