RE: A Picture (jpeg) of things to come??

The funny thing about it is he was arguably the best Saints quarterback of the night. I have him second behind Kingsbury, but the two both did wonders compared to Brooks and Bouman.

AMac looked nervous and gave up on the play too fast before he should have and took off running. He did however drive us to the 5yd line on those scrambles with several first downs and i dont have much of a problem with that. When he did pass the ball (all short passes) they were lasers and right on target in stride except for one endzone pass. He is going to have a bright future.

Klingsbury threw a perfect pass to lewis on his first play for some 50yds, however i cant figure out how anyone caught lewis from behind. The rest of Kliff's passes were all behind the reciever and didnt look that crisp. Id take the athletic phenom with jittery feet over KK any day, and either one of them over Bouman in a heartbeat. Brooks is still much better for this offense at this time than anyone of the other three though, but give the youngsters a chance at backup and cut the bum Bouman. He is so awful.

i think he did great im talkin bout a-mac i didnt get to see kliff but i herad he did good .

I definately agree with the first part of what you wrote Sars, but not entirely with the second part.

Besides that int that Bouman threw, I thought he played well. Remember that the fumble wasn't entirely his fault... it was a blown assignment on Stecker.

I'll be the first one to admit I was wrong on Kliff, but if AB were to get hurt... I definately would rather have Bouman there to fill in. A-Mac definately has tons of potential, but he's not ready. I'd rather go with experience but that's just me. Kliff definately looked good, but do you really think he'd give us a better shot at winning than Bouman?

Anyways, AB has played in 16 games for the past 4 years. :? If we were to cut Bouman or Kliff, it probably wouldn't make any significance anyways. It's just my personal preference to have Bouman as would you all have with Kliff.

I'll take Brooks, Bouman and A-Mac. I think A-Mac is going to be really good. For this season, Bouman needs to be the the reserve behind Brooks. He just has more experience. A-Mac is going to take over in a season or two if Brooks can't make the grade. Bouman is an experienced back-up. I would trust him over A-Mac in a game time situation. I don't see him with the Saints next season though.

I agree 100%

Great minds think alike.

Well, there's always got to be a dissenting opinion.... so here it comes.

I don't think Bouman has what it takes to play in this league. I know he seems like the safer bet, but if we put him in, he'll continue to make the costly errors that lose games. He just doesn't have the knack. I don't think he ever will.

With that in mind, I see it this way: If I have a choice between going 1-15 with Bouman at the helm, or 1-15 with A-Mac at the helm, I'll take A-Mac. At least that way, A-Mac starts accruing the experience necessary to become a winner.

A winner Bouman will never be.

There ya go, my humble opinion.

It's a good thing AB has been injury free
the last three years!

If Brooks goes down for any significant amount of time, this team is screwed. Thats how much disparity there is between him and the rest of the field right now, however given that scenario I would much rather have either Kliff or Adrian out there over Bouman. I know what im getting with Bouman and that is someone who wont blow a play but cant make one either. This guy has never done anything to show me he has the potential to do anything other than hand the ball off. I personally think he wears his helmet too low over his eyes.

Experience or not, this guy lacks ability in my opinion and with him you know exactly what you are going to get. To me, that doesnt make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Id rather have a KK or Amac out there who has a tremendous upside and the ability to make a play when you need it rather than Bouman sucking up his 2 mil to put up the ugliest balls I've ever seen.

BoudinSandwich 08-15-2005 12:18 PM

Bouman was totally responsible for that fumble. Sure there was a blown assignment but that should have just resulted in a sack at worst. The fumble happened because Bouman was holding the ball at his waist while he was looking to pass. Anyone will tell you QB's should never hold the ball that low because it results to fumbles.

Euphoria 08-15-2005 12:26 PM

Dosen't matter you hold the ball, defenders get a hand on it... its gone. but it matters that you have to feel the pressure. You have to read its coming and where its coming from, which he did not. The announcers had it right on the mark on that call. at being something like an 8 year vet you should look better and pick up those things by now. Kingsburry looked better and more posied. Amac still has a ways to go... it got to the point he didn't even look at WR's he just ran... he kept trying to run while the D went into a zone and he wasn't going anywheres anymore. He still needs lots of reps. I feel better with Kingsbury behind center.
