2003 called...

He said to tell you he's sick of hearing you whine about stuff that Aaron did that year...

How many times LAST YEAR did Brooks fumble the ball with nobody around him?

For The Gambler: How many times did the ball mysteriously fly out of his hands for the last three seasons?

For BlackonBlack: If our turnover ratio was the same as other teams, imagine what it would be if we eliminated all of the unforced errors! If you don't understand the difference between forced and unforced errors, then I really should not continue to debate with you.

OH! Mean-spirited sarcasm! I thought this was a debate. I'm sorry, I can do that version as well. Let's give it a shot, shall we?

"2000 called...

She said get off Brooks' jock - he hasn't played for crap since..."

And yet, the question still stands:

How many times LAST YEAR did Brooks fumble the ball with nobody around him?

And your "question" does nothing to answer the one I posed. Your "question" deflects from answering the one I asked. I asked it of BlackonBlack, as a matter of fact and you chimed in.

Thus, I asked no question of you and am engaged in no debate with you. At least until you started yip-yapping in an obvious attempt to take this discussion to a place that does not belong on this board for mature adults.

I regret having even replied to your nasty jibe above. Nobody's perfect and I make plenty of mistakes. One was sinking to your level.

Sorry, mods. Won't happen again.

Why are you apologizing? I don't see any rules broken.

Anyway, so basically your argument in regards to Aaron's fumbles are based on things that happened in 2003.............whereas your argument in regards to Deuce's fumbles are in regards to 2004, and even as recently as last week??? That's what it looks like.

If you're going to make a quote, at least get the quote right:

I seem to remember it being along the lines of: "I am a great QB playing on an inconsistent team"

This could be said for several Saints, right? Last year, Joe Horn was a great WR on an inconsistent team. Last year, Deuce was a great RB on an inconsistent team.

You're trying to put a slant on it which implies that he says he's above all of his teammates, and that he referred to his team as "mediocre". Do not accuse people of saying things unless you are completely certain of the terminology that was actually used.

Did anyone watch Playbook last night? Found their viewpoints concerning the Saints both interesting and suprising.

TheGambler 08-18-2005 11:05 AM

What were their viewpoints?

BlackandBlue 08-18-2005 11:12 AM

They were praising the defense. Yes. The defense. They pulled footage from the final four games, pointed out some strong points for each player, even going so far as to pull Bucs footage for Dwight Smith.
They were not as enthusiastic about the offense. Like I said, I was shocked. Yes, the info they gave is skewed, considering the conditions that surrounded some of those games (ie Atlanta pulling Vick), but suprising, nonetheless.
I won't try and give any specifics, as I cannot quote anyone, word for word, and would hate being hung on specifics.
Sterling went so far as to pick the Saints to win the division.

Gambler, you ask me to "get the quote right" yet you "seem to remember" the quote... maybe you should also get the quote right before using your own memeory to rebut a post...

..in any case, you two wordsmiths (probably just one) know what mediocre means, right??? Mediocre simply means average, ordinary... it's is not an insult, and does not mean "bad"...

whether Brooks called the team "ordinary" or "inconsistent" that is not the point; the point is that he called himself "great"... you never hear Dulymus calling himself great... when he calls himself "great" he's putting himself above the team... that's no slant or spin...

.. in any case, Billy, you are going into my Danno bin.
