I thinks its all Deuce's fault. I mean come on he is over-rated.

Memnoch_TP 08-16-2005 05:40 PM

You are mostly right, but I still think we would have been better off, not worse or the same, with a different QB.

BlackandBlue 08-16-2005 06:43 PM

I blame WhoDat, and have for years.

Many in the NFL have pointed out many QB'S over the history of the game that didn't have the ra-ra-ra Leadership of others, but yet these QB'S were successful. The last I remember would've been Mcmahon in Chicago with Ditka, the guy was a flat-out clown.

The saying in the NFL these days the team takes on the image of the Head Coach, I myself find things disturbing about Brooks. But unlike most I know 95% these things don't cause us to lose games. If we had a different QB the past 4 years on this team, if you were honest with yourselves, you'd admit wins/ and losses would be the same or worse.

This Staff has chose to ignore the obvious glaring needs of this team, and the disturbing thing to me is, so have most of the fans in Louisiana. Never have I seen such horrendous play on a NFL defense(4yrs). Yes our offense could do better, but you don't win by offense in the NFL and anyone that knows football knows this.If you have to depend on your offense as a NFL team, it's like playing with a time bomb in your back pocket, eventually it'll kill you.

If you change the toilet paper, but don't flush the toilet you'll still have stinch in your bathroom. AB is the tissue paper...

.Peyton Manning...

... ther is brandX, and then there's Charming Ultra

... if it makes you feel better, we want both out of here...

That's it. I'm holding out for a new contract. I want a top 5 contract dammit. I brought you clowns something you never had before, a 5000+ post member, AND a moderator who didn't look like a prison inmate. I'm a great poster on an inconsistent board. Now where's my contract!?!

PS - I just owned you in my eyes.

As an aside, I think the Saints' O-ring is in pretty bad shape. Had seven years of this brand.....

Careful buddie. After I finish with my hate crimes (i.e. beating Venturi to death with that pizza slice) I'm going to be recommissioned "LORD OF SODOMY".

And I'll be looking for a new cell mate.

Talk to BnB - as you can see, he has experience... you two would be perfect together.

JOESAM2002 08-17-2005 07:20 PM

Ouch! Now that's gonna leave a mark!

WhoDat 08-18-2005 09:26 AM

Uh, clearly you missed the Jeff Fisher conspiracy theory... and the Benson conspiracy theory. You only see what you want to see 08. Clearly, you've got an agenda. You're a WhoDat hater, and I don't know why. You should just support the posters on your team. You call yourself a member of this board, please.

That is what a WhoDatian would say , yet you choose to ignore the stats , like we are supposed to just believe in WhoDat potential .

WhoDat is not even putting up numbers close to MonkeyButt and he wants top 5 pay .

MonkeyButt 6526 posts
WhoDat 5448 posts

MonkeyButt - Mod.
WhoDat - Mod .

MonkeyButt is a leader who knows how to pick an avatar which inspires .
WhoDat all I can say is Good Grief .

MonkeyButt posted his team to the SuperBowl .
WhoDat posted his to one play off win .

LordOfEntropy 08-20-2005 12:04 AM

All praise to MonkeyButt - that's definitely one inspiring avatar.

saintz08 08-21-2005 04:51 PM

Think WhoDat is reviewing his stats ......

WhoDat 08-23-2005 11:55 AM

Man! I had a great post in here yesterday. Now I can't remember what I said. I'm gonna BOOO Halo next time he's on the board. LOL :)

TheDeuce 08-23-2005 12:24 PM

Did anybody see Michael Irvin on NFL Live last night? They asked a question about who was the most overrated quarterback in the NFL and Irvin flipped out and started raising his hand like a little schoolkid who had the right answer and then he screamed out "Aaron Brooks." And the truth shall set you free.

WhoDat 08-23-2005 02:19 PM

Heard about this somewhere else. That's the wrong answer. Aaron Brooks can't be overrated. Nobody considers him to be worth a sh!t outside of the Saints coaching staff and a select few psychos in New Orleans. Most of the rest of the league sees him for what he is - a highly talented but inconsistent underacheiver. Irvin is an idiot, IMO, and one of the worst things to happen to broadcasting in years.

saintswhodi 08-23-2005 02:25 PM

I thought that was true too Who. But all you have to do is talk to some people who only look at stats, or who go off fantasy football numbers, and some of those people outside of New Orleans think Brooks is a top QB. Case in point, when I went to the Dallas game last year. My buddy, a Cowboys fan, kept telling me how he thought Brooks was so good, as well as a few of the guys sitting around us. After a couple of dirt throws, a red zone INT, and just general bad play, everyone of their reactions changed. They were booing Testaverde handily until they got 3 quarters of AB. They kept asking me, why are you so down on him, and I just kept saying you'll see, and they did. If people don't get to see us play a lot, and just go off numbers like 2003, they have a higher opinion of Brooks than most.

WhoDat 08-23-2005 02:36 PM

One night of Sports Center and that's all gotta change. :)

I think what shocked me the most was this game was only a couple of weeks after the backwards pass. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. lol

And today at the top of the Fantasy Football page on ESPN.COM there is a picture of AB next to the headline "Passing Exams - Why can't we depend on Aaron Brooks?"

It must be a ***** getting less respect than Rodney Dangerfield and Vanilla Ice combined. But unlike Rodney and Ice, I guess in old AB's case he deserves it.
