He came back on the field and slashed the "bajeebus" out of the defense picking up a couple of first downs himself.

Exactly the reason Deuce should be admired and certain other players reviled....

Ditto.
Well put DJ and FF.

I guess this will be a season long series of illogical Deuce bashing.

Your taste in football players, sir, amazes me.

And Duece did (and should have had we not been hosed on a tiebreaker) carried us to the playoffs on his back the last 4 games.

Dallas: not a good game for Deuce, only 83 yards against a pretty good D. Brooks was really bad. His only TD was the amazing catch horn yanked out of the air late in the game

Tampa: 89 yards against a D that was just flat out nasty (I was there). Brooks was running around backwards and getting sacked 7 times. I would say five of them could have been prevented by stepping into the pocket instead of spinning around and running into Simeon Rice. His final numbers looked good, but the game tape would tell a different story. He was clueless till the last 4 minutes. And hey...hats off to Brooks, he made 2 throws to win the game (note objectivity).

Atlanta: 128 yards while Brooks was going 12/24 and throwing 2 picks againtst an uninspired ATL secondary.

Carolina: 140 yards against a defense that was playing well. And a 71 yarder in the 1st qtr to set the tone. That is bringing the hammer.

Oh, and Brooks fumbled twice in the final 4 to Duece's zero since you seem to be fixated on Deuce's fumbling. Deuce was a workhorse late in the season. His play and the play of the D got us to 8-8. We got there in spite of Brooks, who seemed to be regressing.

Keep hating on Deuce, my man. I will smoke you. If your love for AB makes you incapable of objectively watching the Saints, then I feel for you. I wish the best for AB, I really do. I'm sure he is a nice guy off the field. However, he has never shown the accountability or the fire that Deuce showed after a PRESEASON game by saying that he MUST do better. How can you not see that this trait is severely lacking in one man and extremely admirable in another?

I hope Brooks has a great year....I will root him on heartily. He's really our only answer right now. But him vs. Deuce as FOOTBALL PLAYERS? No contest. Sorry. Deuce has been the least of the Saints' problems over the last few years. What are the problems? Bad D and an erratic QB. Period.
