This would be fine with me. Even though Lassiter is 33 and seems to have one good year for every down year, I\'d take him for a temporary fix until Mitchell/Craver is ready to take over the position. And to hell with the Pat\'s and them holding out for a 1st rounder.
By the way, did you miss me while I was gone? Or did anyone even notice? :P

u were gone?

i would have liked to see lassiter in bng about 5 years ago, but the man is 33 definetly losing his step which is Y the cards let him go....last year they franchised him, couldnt get deal done, an now he is free to go elsewhere. and have another down year like he usually does

Just the kind of responses I would expect from B&G.net, and would be disappointed from anything less.

I reiterate what I said earlier, Lassiter has one or two good years left in him and would be a nice temporary fix until we get Mitchell up to speed.

thats ur opinion, but mine is that lassiter doesnt have one or two good years left, and i dont want him on our team, i believe he has gotten considerably slower, and his performance last season speaks for that. also, i think the best way for mitchell to learn the safety position, is on the field getting practice, not on the bench watching someone else

Let\'s not confuse things guys. Mitchell will start next year. The question is who else. Kwame Lassiter is MUCH better than Jay Bellamy. I think Tebucky Jones is the best player that we could pick up. However the best VALUE (Gator, gator, gator) is probably going to be Lassiter. I think this guy is almost as good as Knight. Picking up Lassiter is similar to me as keeping Knight. I\'m happy with it, I think it is a step in the right direction.
