Not being a great fan of Pathon I actually agree on this one, he has obviously shown that he is not starting material. I do think he could help the Saints as a 3rd or 4th WR.

J.T. O'Sullivan signed to the Bears Practice Squad.

TallySaint 09-13-2005 10:34 AM

On Monday, the Packers made arrangements to audition free agent wide receiver Jerome Pathon, and if all goes well in a workout today they will sign him to a contract. (Sept 13)

Packers need someone with Walker out. JT would make sense in Chicago, they need another qb and he is just as good a third as any out there right now. He will have to play behind Blake though, I am sure Brooks clued him in on what that is like Just a matter of time...Orton looks pretty good though, conssistent and strong arm

Does anyone have any information on the Saints Practice Squad? Was there any pick-ups besides the some of the cuts? TIA.

JOESAM2002 09-13-2005 08:05 PM

Oh....I thought you thought AB was the second coming. Dude, I may be wrong, and it wouldn't be the first time, but I think that someday you are going to be embarassed by the comments you have made about J.T. Now that he is in Chicago, there is a good chance we will be seeing J.T. before this year is over.

I loved Jt ...that dude ripped NFL Europe up!
I was kinda hoping that he was still on the squad...but to choose between him or Mike Mac ain't no choice at all....

I agree with Chaching on this one.

LB, good to hear from you. I suppose it is possible that one day I'll eat my words on O'Sullivan. I'm just givin' his supporters a little razin'. Last time we discussed, I remember that you convinced me that he wasn't to bad, and I still believe that (i.e. I remain convinced by your - at least I think it was you - arguments).

I guess, I refuse to believe that his trade wasn't in our best interest at the time, and I am not missing him still (though that could change, I freely admit).

I believe that the trade was in our best interest, also. I just had/have a feeling about JT, and I will not be convinced about him until he is either gone for good or ends up being someone's starter. I happen to like having MM on our side, and I think we will see plenty of nice plays from him while he is wearing the fleur de lis. It's not like I ever lost any sleep over the trade or anything like that. :D

Anyway, good to hear from you, also, JK. Brooks had a great game Sunday, got to give him his props. If he and the rest of the boys play the rest of the year like that, we may finally get somewhere in January.

I guess, the both of us can look forward to seeing what JT will do, and it seems we are in agreement on this one (though I agree that at one time we were not so close on this).

Brooks did have a good game. Let's hope for many more!!!
